If you kill your enemies they win

>if you kill your enemies they win
What did he mean by this?

It means he's a naive little moralfag with zero knowledge of both history and the real world.

Which is fine, considering that terms of Nip shonens, deluded moralfags are reality warpers on par with beta nice guys in harem anime.

It means he's Canadian.

When did he ever say this? He's fine with killing Shinji to save the people in school, so where did you get this?

Unless you're just full of shit, as most of these posts are

It means that death is neutral. Your enemies won't experience, won't feel, they won't exist anymore at all. While you as a person have to live the rest of your life with the burden of murder.
Truly, if you kill your enemies, they win.

He never says that dumbass and his character has nothing to do with morals

>Truly, if you kill your enemies, they win.
No, perhaps more accurate would be to say, if you kill your enemies, you lose.

It's some stupid Sup Forums meme.

Shirou never said that but he is definitely a moralfag.

What does moralfag even mean? A good person who isn't edgy? Because that's what it seems like to me.

Read the VN. His "morality" is only governed by his ideal - "making people feel good would make me feel happy so making them feel bad is wrong". It is further evidenced by the bye shinji scene as well as by mind of steel ending.

Hell in fate he realizes that he is actually HAPPY at the prospect of there being villains to be a "hero of justice" against. Which shows that he is not driven by morality or conscience.

He wants a world where everyone can be happy and needs to be coerced into joining the HGW because he doesn't like fighting. How is he not a moralfag?

The person you're replying to just explained how..

You DON'T want a world where everyone is happy? And oh, yeah he needs to be convinced to join a fight to the death, how shocking.

And still not seeing anything bad about being a moralfag.

>making people feel good would make me feel happy so making them feel bad is wrong
That is what morality and conscience are based on.

Seriously, read the VN. Shirou always gets into fights and beats up people. He almost beat shinji to death the first time he got indicationt hat shinji beats sakura. It is prominent enough for Sakura to go ''oh shit don't go beat him up again'' every time shirou gets scary face.

Nigger, the fuck are you talking about? Shirou is always fine killing people as long as it's for greater good. When did shirou ever say that?

Do your enemies lose if they kill you?

>if you kill your enemies they win
They actually win.

Shirou never said anything like this and has no qualms in killing people if they are a threat to everyone else.

He happily tried to kill his best friend when his best friend had gone nuts

...

He tried to kill Issei?

What is he doing here?

Being in an OP.

Shirou is just sort of a retard, his """ideals""" are ridiculous and impossible.

"I will save everyone." is so broad and nonspecific that it doesn't fucking function under any real world circumstances, and he clings to it more out of stupidity than it making any actual sense. It's not even really an idealogy, it's just an urge that he pretends is some kind of fateful mechanism that defines his behavior. Thinking about it hurts. Japs can't write philosophy for shit.

Secondary detected.

So glad that Nova Crystallis bullshit is finally over.

SUMANAI

Explain what exactly Shirou's ideals are without hitting a wall of retardation. Let's see if you can type them out without realizing how stupid the concept is.

Shirou is not ideologically developed enough to be a proper moralfag. He's your typical morally-grey protagonist who is primarily driven by emotion, and is both nice enough and frankly plot convenienced enough that he can generally remain a "good" person by acting as such. Shirou could easily be made into a complete monster if Nasu actually cared enough about a moral message to write a scenario that exploits his faults in the worst possible ways.

That's Kiritsugu, not Shirou.
Shirou would jump infront of that train to try and derail it before he willingly sacrificed anyone, even if whoever he sacrificed was directly responsible for the entire situation in the first place.

Well stuff like mind of steel and "bye, shinji" IS there, it just didn't have any reason to be a full route.

I'd like an official translation of Fate's VN. I remember once seeing a post about how the fan translation leaves a lot of more colorful wording untranslated and bland.

With my luck it'd just be as bad as the Fate Grand Order translation

If you'd read the VN you'd know the answer to your own question.

He already knows his ideals are dumb and impossible but he doesn't care. For him it's all about the pursuit of the ideal, like a perfectionist who strives for perfection even if perfection is impossible to achieve.

Nasu's licenses are too expensive for competent companies to afford, so his works end up either in the hands of well-meaning but inexperienced fans or corporations that want to maximize profits with the lowest amount of effort / quality.

>how stupid the concept is
But that's the point.

Jesus christ, the ENTIRE FUCKING POINT of Shirou's character is that he is impossible. He's the condensed essence of the common shounen protagonist played up to ridiculous heights, that impossibility and ridiculousness is his entire fucking purpose as a character in FSN.

>Protagonist has ideals that are denounced in-universe by almost everyone
>Future version of protagonist who lived life by said ideals is shown to be broken and miserable enough to try to kill his past self.
>An entire route, the final one no less, is dedicated to explaining why these ideals are impossible to fulfill and shows protagonist finally internalizing it.
>Route still lets you make the choice to stick to said ideals, giving you what is explicitly an unsatisfying Bad End where you are essentially established as inhuman.
>A prequel dedicated to following another character who lived by this principal to the logical extreme and ended up ruining any prospect at his own happiness by doing so, only gaining some the moment he stops trying to save the world.
>user is stupid enough to think a character being flawed is a flaw in the writing
Amazing

Yeah, but that sucks. You can say he's a shitty character on purpose, but that just makes the author seem like an even bigger retard.

>shirou is a shitty character because i said so

Okay, you've proven you're a gigantic retard enough times already. Stop posting.

Pretty much, yeah.

It's kind of funny how people like Fate and consider themselves to have any understanding of quality whatsoever. If someone served me shit on a plate I'd call it shit too, but of course someone like you would gobble it up with a smile and then complain at people who don't think it tastes as good.

No user, you're just too retarded or too blinded with your gigantic ego to see a gold as a shit.

It seems a protagonist from what is essentially a pornographic battle shonen is too complex for you to handle.

>it's too deep for you!

See You colossal moron

You're literally too dumb to understand.

It isnt deep at all.

You are just clearly braindamaged.

Pretty much, yeah.

You can be edgy AND a moral fag.

>"I will save everyone." is so broad and nonspecific that it doesn't fucking function under any real world circumstances
What did he mean by this?

Tutturuu~

But what IS a moralfag?

Because people die when they're killed.

>deep
Nah, in fact it's pretty simple that i actually laughed that you couldn't even comprehend something like that.

>literally a "too deep for you" or "you aren't experiencing it correctly" argument

>greentext reply

Its all been explained to you in the posts that you are conviniently ignoring, you dumb little fuck.

...

>people can't dislike and critic what I enjoy, if they don't also enjoy it they're just too dumb to like it

You're literally too stupid to understand why fictional characters have flaws, so yes, it is too deep for you.

He's grasping at straws

You can dislike and critizise anything that you want you silly fuck.

But dont try and come up with some retarded bullshit arguments to justify your hateboner as they will simply get BTFO. Much like you are being BTFO right now.

Dumb cunt.

Say something besides "hurr durr I don't like it so it's objectively shit" then. Critique it in an intelligent manner.

"Shirou is a retard and his idealogy makes no sense." is the point being argued here, right?

And everyone bitching about that is basically saying "I AGREE, BUT YOU HURT MY FEELINGS!"

Sooooo, what the fuck is the point of this conversation again? Just fansperg?

>criticizing a specific thing that makes shirou a great character
Admit it, you're just stupid.

Your "criticism" shows that you can't comprehend a character having imperfections even when said imperfections are the driving force of his narrative arc.
Stick to isekai WNs dude, VNs seem too tough for you.

user please, the only ones being BTFO are the people taking such low effort, shitty bait.

Oh please
Comics started the 'if you kill him you're just as bad/if you kill him he wins' deal as poor excuses to keep Joker alive when in any logical setting he would be dead as a door nail.

Someone who put sound thinking behind a personal and/or written moral codex.

What part of "I was not wrong" did you not understand, user? Go back and read UBW.

>this hilarious backtracking

No your point was that the writing was bad because Shirou is flawed, which is laughable.

Anyways, Shirou is the first person who acknowledges that his ideals are at odds with logic and reality.

Yeah but the specific phrasing comes from

>I-im just b-baiting, gais!!

Ah, the deathrattles of a terrible shitposter.

More than one of us here.

And the writing is really fucking bad, let's be real. Shirou is handled poorly as fuck.

Don't be mad, Seibah.

He was fully willing to ice Shinji during bounded field incident at the school, and Rin if she fucked up the Taiga negotiations though

Regardless of where it originated, it gets propagated because it's funny. It's a satire of the entire trope contained in a single sentence describing the same trope.

Which is the better Nasuverse King Arthur?
The genderbent one or the original?

...

The genderbent one.
Original is a dirty filthy Saxon for a current race of cucks which being still being lorded and ruled over by Normans in their own country.

Pretty soon they'll be ruled over by Pakis instead.

>Your ideals will die along with you.
>That's right! I admired his desire to save people because it was beautiful! But none of that feeling is my own! What else can you call it but hypocrisy?! I was driven by my obsessive need to help someone. I kept running, neither noticing the pain nor how wrong I was! But it's all a fake. Such hypocrisy can not save anything. No, first of all, I didn't even know what I wanted to save!
Archer's angst came from his thinking his life was wasted following Kerry's path. "I was not wrong" was about him being able to achieve peace in death by realizing his actions still helped people, just not everyone. Peace in death aside his actual life still drove him to hating what he became and Shirou's end state was along the lines of "I'll follow my path while making sure I won't end up like that."
UBW doesn't go as hard against Shirou's ideals as HF but they're still presented as heavily flawed at the very least.

Saber of course

Why is King Hassan in that picture?
Such a shitty assasin,

He's a proud knight of the round table, why wouldn't he be there?

>if you don't give money to known terrorists that has killed your own citizens, they win.
What did he mean by this?

>moralfag
he certainly has a failry strong sense of morality- but hes still a violent autist who does what he does because its a way to deal with his survivors guilt, not because of some higher moral understanding or motivation

Explain further.

Fuck off.

Ancient forbidden Canadian martial technique. Known as cuck-fu.

He was became the speech writer for canda

I don't understand western politic, but is this guy retarded? He has a face of one

>is this guy retarded?
Close but he's just Canadian.

>being an idiot =/= being a bad character

That Lion armor with the fur looks pretty sick. If only they'd remove those eyes though.

Nah, he is just two-faced.

Do remember under him, Canadian soldiers are still being sent to murder sandniggers by the dozens in the Middle East for "stability".
Nothing like making a place stable by giving the carte blanche to your soldiers to outright slaughtering the natives.
Their soldiers just have a quota of dead sandniggers to fulfill, they are not going to choosy about how they fulfill that quota.

He confused him with Palamedes.

I dunno. Does forking over $8,000,000 taxpayer dollars to a known soldier-killing sandnigger terrorist count as retarded?

Stop being so Islamophobic
