It's dead

I was full on emo for a good 8 years, age 10-18
Met my fiancée during that time, she was emo too.
I ended up turning her into a national socialist, traditional woman.

it's been dead for a while but its never dead

We're the counterculture now.

The new "Punk" is Nationalism/Fascism

Has nothing to do with politics. You probably made this thread because have no friends and derive all your opinions from this site which is pretty sad really.

THE LEAF HAS AWOKEN

The Clash, The Sex Pistols, Wire, The Ramones.... All great bands. Punk stopped producing consistently good things after the 70s though.

Yeah once it got solidified into a subculture and sound it went downhill real fast.

A haven for pedophiles. Ghost fire was the best thing to happen to California.

Subcultures are spooks, but Magazine is the best band ever.

Punk was a psyop by the Tavistock institute. It gave dumb children the perception that they we're rebelling against the establishment, when really they were doing everything the establishment wanted (pushing drugs, sex, leftism, vulgarity, etc.).

No, punk was never even punk. It was always an establishment psyop.

>punk subculture
>I was full on emo for a good 8 years

Punk represented counter-culture, emo bought into corporate culture consumer bullshit, like a bunch faggots.

Punk was never counterculture. They represented the establishment desires.

I never dressed the part, but its what I mostly listen to as far as music goes.

I personally prefer post-grunge.

Punk music is really good I used to drum for a couple hardcore bands, and have spent thousands of hours listening to it. Listening to some now actually. I love it. The culture is filled with faggots now. Legit poseurs, theyre appealing to a culture they romantacized "woah these guys were feminists like me I'm gonna listen to 2 albums and buy a punk vest" I hate them. But the music is cool, some punks are probably cool guys.

Disagree, punk was commercialized before emo. Emo wasnt nessesarily commercial, like Rites of Spring ofcourse, Moss icon, Indian summer etc
check'd but they were counter culture sonically at first when rock was turning into gay arena rock and "adult rock" they made it have edge and nice simple catchy songs, with real energy
Based, I dressed the part in HS, but thats cause i liked the wannabe punk girls.
gay

>I'm really punk, I support the police :)

Also tons of nazi punk music, hard to find now (((they))) usually take it off YT. Lots of the bands were shit anyways, but the scene was huge

punk is cancer that turns people into radical leftists.
sage for a shitty hit-and-run thread where OP posts exactly once and just leaves.

But would you?

Moss Icon was my jam 96-2000.

That bass line in I'm Back Sleeping Or Fucking Or Something is etched in my mind.

I mainly only listen to Bestial Black Metal now.

LARPS NOT DEAD

It's surely alive

I listened to a lot of punk rock in high school but now after so many years, there was only so many snotty vocals and 3 chords I could listen to before I realized it all sounded the same.

Feckin Ghey shit, for angsty 15-25 yr olds.

Nice, I'm trying to get more into black metal now

Oi! Oi! Oi!

kek wants you to listen to Oi!

Alright nevermind punk is officially dead. Wrap it up.

eh it was pretty cool, play pin ball in mosh pits and doesn't afraid of anything

Punk vocalists like Henry Rollins and Jello Biafra are some of the most pretentious fucks in existence. I like some of the 80 hardcore stuff but in terms of ideology it's left wing trash.

white kids who were pissed off about divorce and poverty

Really I think both those vocalists are pretty good honestly, I hate to compliment Jelo cause I think hes a stupid cunt. But who are some vocalsits you enjoy out of curiosity

listened to it up untill freshmen year of hs, then i stated to notice a-lot of the gay/leftist/agenda undertones and stopped, i switched to thrash/metal/any subgenre and never looked
back.

Met a punk guy... He was a manipulative lying drunkard psycho piece of shit.

why listen to punk when you can listen to SLAAYYYYUUUURRRRRR

Shits been dead since the 80's

its gay

To be fair I'd be pretentious too if I was the best singer Black Flag ever had. Henry was an absolute unit in his prime both on recordings and on stage.
