Anti-homeless Architecture

Do you agree?

What are those and why doesn't my city have them everywhere?

the bench is probably too much but the others i agree with

Certainly. The government or civil associations should provide them a space apart from the public, or even better, some asylum to help them out. But leave them in front of my store to ward off clients because muh hate? fuck that

most of them live under underpasses

damn somebody who isn't me should do something

How about that asshole turns his house into a refuge. He will get scabbies, lice, body lice, and bed bugs, and a stab wound. He will be first in line demanding a societal cleansing

Yeah because all the other places have spikes on them you fascist.

it would be better to have vagrancy laws and work camps, but they cry about those too.

wouldn't sleeping on the grass be more comfortable than than bench anyway?

It's worth it so that the fat can't sit and hog up multiple spaces. I like it.

Top right is fine. The others are aesthetically displeasing.

Like a 12 year old has seen that much in his life. Once he gets robbed by a homeless person or sued when one sleeps on his property and suffers some type of injury, he'll change his tune

No

t. Security CCTV Specialist

The bench is the best one. It also helps stop fat people from taking up the whole thing. They probably cant even fi...you're fat arent you?

lazy burger

Dude its us who care about the homless not you commies.

why don't homeless people just commit a crime and live in prison? better than not having food or a bed

Seems pretty cruel to me. The bench seems antifat too. What's going on with the blue door though?

Encouraging homeless people not to sleep on your shit, out in the elements, but instead to go to the shelters you have provided and make use of other services, is not depraved, hateful nor unsympathetic.

Homeless should be charged with illegal camping and if they can't pay the fine they should go to court, if they still cannot pay the court fines they should be found in contempt and sent to county prison for 30 days.

Try going to a national park and setting up a tent, see how fast the fucking forestry rangers kick your ass out.

I used to be opposed to it but my city is full of homeless hippies who choose not to work out of laziness. I feel bad for vets and the mentally ill who don't choose homelessness.

youre right. ovens are much better

better than a doorway covered in hobo shit & vomit

Why be homeless in the city? I'd go to the woods.

using bottom right on a rainy day seems fun, let alone winter

Instead of spikes in top left, I'd do a slope that is too steep to sleep on without falling off. The spikes don't look that good, and can be thwarted with a few layers of cardboard. Slopes look better and are harder to get around.

Homeless people are just people who are too stupid to make it to a shelter.

The bench one is as much about skateboarders destroying benches as anything.

Doors are an architectural feature designed to keep those you do not explicitly allow access to inside your building. They are deeply problematic.

The homeless are mentally ill, drug-addicted menaces and should be harried, harassed and placed in camps.

>wouldn't sleeping on the grass be more comfortable than than bench anyway
Not with 2 feet of snow on the ground, but they would freeze to death on the bench anyway

homeless people are either nice or crazy

This goy gets it.

there is something wrong with country, if homeless are the problem.

Bears are not good panhandlees.

No, but it's not as bad as some of the other things the people who own those buildings are doing so let's focus on the more clear-cut examples of their wickedness.

Nice id.

Anti fat measures are good.

...

How does that bottom right one work?

If you cared about homeless you would not be for capitalism.

and I guess they don't sell heroin either, so there's that

>using the term fascist as an insult

I live in a high homelessness area here in socal, a lot of these people choose to be homeless because they get enough money from handouts and etb that they can live off of and do their daily drugs. Homelessness isn't the main issue its enablers that let them continue their lifestyle.
Stop giving money to bums and report your local dealer. Take action if you want something done don't just complain

Redpill: most homeless people don’t want to be helped
The ones that do want it will get help pretty soon after becoming homeless
The ones that don’t are junkies and schizos and will never, ever contribute to society before they eventually die somewhere they were loitering
I’m honestly not sure how they can be helped. I still give money knowing they’ll spend it on drugs, because fuck, if I was a crazy schizo I’d want to feel okay for a few minutes too

>being a godless commie
Hell is for ever!

And that's why the entire country ships their homeless to the west coast with one way bus tickets. Some days I'm tempted to buy a flamethrower and purge Seattle.

>I still give money

You should give them coke cut with roundup.

the trick is being so skinny you can lay under the bars

A reminder that homeless people who live in camps and on the streets are either extremely mentally ill, or making a life style choice. Working poor in the US get Section 8, motels or homeless shelters. This "anti-homeless" architecture is more about cutting down on loitering.

If I was a property owner I'd worry about the liability issues fucking spikes on the ground would cause.

Then again our -40C weather kind of takes care of the problem. Homeless fuck off to where it's warmer or the city takes them in because people freezing to death is bad PR.

Was Leonard Ball /ourguy/?

retard

I give a few quarters to blacks sometimes, because they'll spend it on shit to kill themselves faster.

>putting dividers on bench is too much
>putting spikes and shit on the ground is just fine

Is there something wrong with your head?

That way people can really rip one right in your face and be halfway down the block before you even stand up.

>only cities have these anti-homeless defenses
>cities are ran by Democrats
>anti-homeless defenses were put by Democrats
>people who don't like the defense voted the same people who put the defense
How pathetic.

Tldr user is fat

benches are designed for people to be on you fucking retarded leaf

Not if you don't want the homeless staying in those areas. Are locks on doors immoral?

I used to give money to bums when i was in school, then theyd like me and buy durrys and beer for me

If you liked food you wouldn't be a communist

this the kinda ashit they need.

Also i they should bus the homeless over to that fagits house.

Because they like to do drugs and enjoy freedom for free. Youd be amazed how much panhandlers can make. Ive seen it myself. I was homeless but never could bring myself to beg...i stole from stores when hungry. Anyways 90 an hour was pretty common although not consistant i was amazed when i saw it. A slow day will still earn them at least that much which i more than i make a day at work. I fucked up at life though so i have a shit job. Anyways yea alot of homeless are just young drug addicts. That was my reason. Rebuilding my life now.

he has a couch

you're not a human, you're an ambulocetus

I’ve seen where business owners take the useful ones and put them in a guard shack to watch the property. In return they get to stay and get warm. I like that idea.
A lot of others are just crazy, addicts, or choose to live that way.
Fear of being homeless keeps me up at night. Idk why.

That spike thing is a huge lawsuit waiting to happen, you just know someone is gonna slip and crack his head open on one of those.

Oh on another note. During winter many bums do get petty charges on purpose. No opiate addict would ever do that though because we dont want to detox.

Im certainly not a lefty faggot, and i dont disagree with preventative measures to keep vagrants off my property

BUT

I feel for the people who live like that. From what ive seen it falls into one or a combination of 3 categories: druggies, mentally ill, people that have no hope and/or no family to help them.

The sad fact is that many of these people are veterans and I tend to believe they would likely be in their predicament whether they served or not, I genuinely wish our bloated governments would do more to tend to vets that are suffering from these issues.

That pic is to prevent birds from nesting... not really homeless people, though It deters them too.

>giving the niggers more free stuff will surely fix everything

rural and suburban retards btfo

Youre right, we should put spikes under the underpasses

Tbh just pentobarbital them already. Why keep them alive for no reason.

I don't know about other cities, but in Chicago you can always go to the hospital or the police station and they will find a place for you.

Are you 400 pounds or something? You should still be able to sit normally on the bench, even with the dividers.

Yes. I own a business and the homeless drive away customers.

whats the blue thing on the bottom right?

These benches aren't an issue. It's these fuckers I hate. I just want to sit down while waiting for the damn train, but these things are engineered so you can't even sit on them. You just kind of lean on them while standing.

We got us an angler. Theres no 2ay youre not trolling, boy

>Send homeless to adult daycare
Just kill them off so they dont go to prison. If they aren't being helped or helping themselves then they shouldn't be taking up space

A door

Sure, but I think they should just be rounded up and put in a mulcher.

They poured a mix of concrete and medium sized stones below an underpass over here, works great. It's so uneven and irregular you can't do shit there.

Pitfall trap?

Your liability issues are likely higher the more time people on the edge of freezing to death or otherwise getting injured (or claiming to get injured)spend on your property. Plus the other financial loss you take if your customer has to step over a hostile drug addict, or the damage to lifestyle quality of your citizens if the park is full of hostile addicts and an inch deep in poo.

>Not letting the homeless loiter is the most evil thing
Pathetically white. He should go to Turkey and see what real evil is.

This outcry over anti homeless instalations have clearly never had to deal with hobos or dealt with their figurative and literal shit before. In my town there's a cat adoption place that has a little car park dongle in front of it that you go through to get to the door. During the winter the owner had a soft heart, and a soft head, and left the gate that goes across the car park open so that the homeless could bed down there in the night out of the cold and wind. They repayed his kindness by literally shitting all over his front door and leaving needles everywhere. Right across the street there's stretch of bush they could have shit in just fine but they were too fucking lazy to go 20 fucking feet to shit. Even animals don't shit where they sleep.

If you live in NYC you'll notice the lack of benches or places to sit. The benches were removed in the 80's because the ACLU sued the city because NYPD would force the homeless away from benches, etc.
A single homeless guy will usually have a shopping cart or two, loaded with junk and stink to high heaven. 3 day old shit in the pants stink.
So the benches were removed so no nobody can use them..

The spikes look like something from Mortal Kombat

Do it.
Lovingly

Yes.
A functioning society doesn't have such an excess of homeless that it requires this level of infrastructure to deal with them.
Therefor it's absolutely treasonous that the public treasury is being used to fund a cure for the symptom rather than the problem. Why are these government officials in place if they can't arrive to this conclusion on your dime? Clearly this is being done as a way to hide tax embezzlement by public officials the same way roadcrews are used.

listen up you overweight kike

the spikes are finite. they take up a tiny strip of area that the city or business doesnt want shitted up with crime drugs and literal human shit. they dont do the entire city like that. there are still plenty of places for these people to hang out to ruin everyones day

I don’t like the spikes. Looks like they could be an honest safety hazard for people walking down the street or something. Someone tripping could hurt themselves pretty badly on them.
Other than that, I don’t think the city should be placing anti homeless measures on public property, something seems off about that. Private property is fine though. Either way, keep them more aesthetic, creative, and less pointy.

The average skell should be rounded up and liquidated. They're all extremely mentally ill drug users who managed to alienate even their own relatives.

>I’m honestly not sure how they can be helped.
>I still give money knowing they’ll spend it on drugs, because fuck,

I used to know a homeless man around my city that lived next to me in a 2 Br. 2-bath apartment, had a car he owned outright, newer model year, and a steady GF.

he had managed to win one of the prime panhandling areas in the city from it's local cadre in a game of poker or some shit. he pulled down over 70,000/yr. this was back in 1995 or so. After I found out he was "homeless" from seeing him, I actually "stalked" him a few times to see how well he made out. Some red lights would net him nothing, others would get him 10+ dollars. after watching for an hour, He was probably making in the neighborhood of 80 - 120 USD / Hr. None of this went on taxes, of course.

When I finally talked to him about it, it's apparently pretty common for a certain "class" of homelss people to live like that. there are ones who are legitimately sick, addicts, or just straight up poor, but the ones you're most likely to see - the roadside panhandlers - are probably Neither Sick, nor addicted, nor poor. For them to even have a prime spot in a top-10 US city means they've beaten and gambled their way to the top of the homeless pyramid, and they're actively proud of it, and they're not going to go "legit" likely ever.

>Implying public property exists.

My dad and I own a small family business in South Houston and we had bums sleeping in the alleyway next to our building.. So one day he sprinkled like a gallon of red pepper all over and put up a bogus toxic waste warning sign and never saw them again.

Any ways I used to feel sorry for homeless people, but if you ever have to interact with them on a daily basis you will learn to hate them with a passion. I don't even give to salvation army any more, just trash the old clothes I don't use.

I would sooner kill myself than ask a stranger for help.

You can get hypothermia by sleeping directly on the ground without any insulation, even in the summer.
