Why people who watched only SAO and Naruto think that this shit is a 10/10 masterpiece? Is this because of a shock value or something else?

I never understood the hype either. Story is forgetting and characters are bland af

...

you're a fucking idiot. they like it because it's good. so does everyone else who watches it regardless of how much anime they've seen

I dropped this series with two episodes left. it got so boring and insufferable that I lost the will to finish it entirely.
>hurr I'm technically immortal but WAHHHH

Thank God I am not the only one.

Criticised it in plebbit, downvoted to hell

>ITT: look how contrarian I am

That's the way it is with everything
>Play 3 video games
>Hail them as the greatest video games of all time

It's annoying because I'm trying to find good anime to watch. I'd like to see a ranked list made by people who have watched a minimum of 300 series, it'd be interesting to see what the top ranks are then.

in my experience it's all over the place, because people who watch that much anime have very specified tastes.

I've seen over 600 titles and among my favorites are moetan, kannagi, and MD geist, for example. lots of people think those series are garbage no matter how much anime they have watched.

It should be a federal offense to waste so much potential.

>in my experience it's all over the place, because people who watch that much anime have very specified tastes.
That's what would make it interesting. I also prefer series like that that you either love or hate rather then them being so generic everyone likes them but they shouldn't be anyones favourite. I'm constantly looking for my new number one favourite, not anything less.

Same thing with music, film, games etc. I want to get recommendations from people who have developed their taste and know exactly what they like.

>admitting you use plebbit
you have to go back

>Why people who watched only SAO and Naruto
Nice bait.

>Criticised it in plebbit
>plebbit
Where you belong.

It would be 10/10 if it wasn't for the annoying characters. Okabe's chuunibi behavior gets old really quickly. Daru's and Kurisu's 2chan references may have been funny in 2010, but they aged like milk. Mayuri at first serves as nothing but "the dumb character you have to explain things to", and then later "the damsel in mistress". She's basically a walking meme.
Okabe is not immortal. If he dies, any chance of preventing WW3 dies with him.
This. The more anime you watch, the more "specific" your taste gets. I'm currently reading a manga about a 25 year old NEET who got sent back in time into his 10 year old self, and now constantly does lewd stuff with the lolis in his class. Most people wouldn't enjoy this manga.

Because they think the convoluted time travel plot makes them smart for getting it and the show sophisticated for "expertly" crafting such a "complex" plot, all the while they can enjoy the chuuni characters and childish romance. Also, SG is decent and they have low standards.

name?

Truly hilarious and original post, OP.

Mujaki no Rakuen

I'm not the guy you're talking to, I just recognised it from the premise. The artist has also done some actual lewd stuff and you'll find it on the Panda.

Give me a list of your 10/10 animes OP. Show me your taste

Not OP but I have only one 10/10

Everyone in this thread is gay.

If this isn't at least a 9/10 then what is a 10/10? Where are these god tier level shows that i haven't heard of?

>inb4 some obscure niche shit from the 70s/80s

I thought the VN was pretty good

>watching S;G
>not playing it

Why would it be a 9/10 or 10/10 tho? Even if you ignore the questionable merit when it comes to characters and themes, the show ends by basically erasing everything that happened. Except for love, love transcends dimensions. Classic.

Because it's just a completely enjoyable and sastifying show. The directing and storytelling is great. The ending may not have been super original but that doesn't make the show suck at all.

What are some of your 10/10's then? Seriously i'll check them out

So? Most people who only watched SAO and Naruto also think Cowboy Bebop is 10/10.

Your point? Weak as hell bait's earned a 2/10 this time.

Nah, he will just lie and choose some "safe" titles instead of his real favorites like Fairy Tail or Mahouka.

...

I disagree with the great story telling bit for reasons stated in my previous post.

Shows I consider 10/10 are well known and regarded as such by a lot of people so any proper anime fan should have seen them a long time ago. Unless you are new to anime and are just genuinely looking for new shows to watch I see no point in comparing favorites as a convenient way of disregarding someones opinion without arguments. Which is the reason people usually ask for someones top shows in these types of scenarios.

Steins;gate is ok. Some parts makes me sleepy though.

okabe is literally immortal. he's just not invincible.

...

>shock value
What?

But it's not love that transcends dimensions, it's memories. Everyone in universe has a weaker Reading Steiner, it's just that Okabe has the best in the world.

>erasing everything that happened
Literally the opposite needed to be done to reach Steins Gate. That's the whole point of deceiving himself and the world. He needs the Alpha worldline to happen so he has motivation. Because the alpha worldline happened people get déjà vu from it.

please go and stay go

>'m currently reading a manga about a 25 year old NEET who got sent back in time into his 10 year old self, and now constantly does lewd stuff with the lolis in his class. Most people wouldn't enjoy this manga.
Most people would like to see you hanging high and tight you pedophile.

10/10 unironically.

>literally immortal
Wrong
>not invincible
Somehow also wrong
He's guaranteed to die in 2027 iirc so he can't die any earlier, hence all his lucky escapes and shit. He isn't immortal because abusing the time leap machine literally always makes you lose your mind. In the two cases we've seen of repeated use (Nae and Okabe) Nae completely loses it and Okabe (Suzuha route) almost loses it. Time Leaping is incredibly painful as well. Which the anime never really tells you.

>using the time leap machine always makes you lose your mind
>based on two instances, one where someone lost their mind and another where they didn't
??? I don't buy it at all.

can you please stop arguing anime's quality using the VN ? It's useless.

But if there are infinite dimensions then there should be ones where she dislikes the MC and has horrible memories of him. And the final episode is ep1 without the microwave time machine but magically with a girlfriend. I know there was a bunch of time travel nonsense needed to achieve that but the point is that characters' actions don't have consequence. Fucked something up? No problem, use time travel to fix it, who care about dealing with repercussions of your fuck ups like is intrinsically required in real life and any grounded story, this is wish fulfillment empowerment fantasy based on a porn game.

Well in the case of Nae, she goes back like 20 years to kill Moeka. This is like 3000 leaps (each of which involve the pain of your entire consciousness being shoved into your brain as a copy, overwriting the last one)

In the case of Okabe he traps himself in a time loop where he does shit like consider killing Daru or consider raping Suzuha because at the end of the day he will just reset.

Immortality is not good when you only have a couple of days to act before you get attacked by SERN and you can only go back 2 days at a time.

Time leaping is not a painless easy solution.

But how is he immortal? If he dies, he cannot use the Time Leap machine

I rate it a 8/10. The story was interesting and Okabe was a fun character.

But all the girls were really bland and boring. They also wasted so much potential with the sern plotline, as if the only member of an international science conspiracy is some autistic whore in a catsuit. Would've been way cooler if they had more scenes like in ep. 13 where Okabe actually came into danger and there was some action.

>fucked something up? Use time travel to fix it!
>time travel is detected by SERN
>SERN moves in to capture your time travel shit

>Infinite universes
Wrong, did you even watch the show? The only universes that exist are the worldlines that occur. There isn't some wacky universe where everyone hates Okabe (except the Gamma world lines but those are non canon and don't actually occur)

>Based on a porn game
>all VNs are porn games
?????

He can't die until 2027, divergence won't allow it. He has to set up Valkyrie before he can die in the alpha attractor field.

What can happen however is the time leap machine can be destroyed or taken, in which case he is royally fucked.

>Immortality is not good when you only have a couple of days to act before you get attacked by SERN and you can only go back 2 days at a time.
but it's still immortality.

>Time leaping is not a painless easy solution.
but it's still immortality. just because a couple of characters are emotional bitches doesn't mean that everyone will go insane.

All so-called "10/10 masterpieces" are usually baby's first anime that blew his mind away.

After you watch more than 100 series, 8/10 is the highest you'll rate things, even good things

>He can't die until 2027, divergence won't allow it
Huh i never thought about that before.

But they do exactly that, they time travel to before they fucked everything up albeit in a more convoluted fashion.

Or you use the full scale because you are not autistic.

>Why people who watched only SAO and Naruto think that this shit is a 10/10 masterpiece?
Unfortunately it's many more who like this garbage. No idea why though, it's bad in so many ways it's ridiculous, whether it's horrible cliché characters or the most laughable plot in the history of anime (microwave + cell phone = time machine, I still can't believe someone came up with this shit). I'm still mad I fell for this meme show, I should have dropped it right off the bat instead of hoping that it would somehow become enjoyable at some point.

>user thinks he could live in the same two days forever
No. Eventually you will get a god complex and start to see everyone as a robot, acting exactly as you expect. Suzuha even addresses this in her route saying that eventually Okabe wouldn't be able to handle it anymore and would just break down, ending his time loop. No human can deal with immortality, especially if they have to do the same things every day. It's not immortality because no human could go on forever.

>No human can deal with immortality
t. emotional little bitch

this is the same argument people use to defend subaru in re:zero and homura in madoshit. it's such garbage.

>it's normal for people to be weak-minded therefore it's impossible for people to not be weak-minded

when all you watch is complete garbage anything even a little bit better will seem like a masterpiece

WW3 and the events of the beta worldline are not the fault of the cast. They actually solve everything that is their fault when they leave alpha, then they need to solve something that isn't their fault in Beta. World War 3 was implied from the start as soon as the whole Titor shit began. They used time travel to ensure time travel is never invented (which it will be as R;N DaSH exists and the worldline changes apparently)

But yeah whatever, the ending was kind of dumb even with the brief foreshadowing.

You're a fucking retard. How long do you think a normal human hell even a STRONG MINDED human could last in an eternity of the same two days?
A year?
10 years?
100 years?
Eventually everyone will break. Just because you think you won't doesn't mean you won't. Humans cannot deal with eternity.

Oh and remember that you can't move too far from your time machine otherwise you can't go back.

>Most people wouldn't enjoy this manga
Wasn't the author really surprised at how huge the reception of Mujaki no Rakuen was?
I know we are still thinking about small numbers here, but it seemed successful enough to have proven enjoyable for a decent amount of people.

i only like redhead girl

I thought everything besides the alternate timelines created with the different character D-mails was enjoyable. Unfortunately due to the way its written, I had to experience that shitty part twice. Don't care that the trap wanted to be a reverse trap. Don't care that MC has to play a fucking card game. All that shit in the middle of the series was a slog and then it was a slog when they had to undo it all. Unfortunate.

Here's your (OP) (You)

It was attempting to show that you can solve all your problems with time travel but you then get fucked over by it real quick.

GunGrave is legit 10/10 though.

because it's a very well directed show with a great cast.
i wouldn't call it a 10/10 personally, but it's easy to see why people love it.

It's a shame they cut the Nae time leaping shit. Kind of butchers Mr Brauns character as he was actually trying to protect Moeka, in the show he just kills her. Also Nae gives some pretty good exposition about the future if I recall

yeah, they did sadly have to cut some stuff from the VN
but when compared to other SciAdv adaptations it's not that bad

because it is. despite the stupid fanservice and being a bit boring till ep 4 and not being impressive till ep 11.

I don't know why but in the anime Faris was kind of annoying but in the VN she was great.

Faris Route is best route. Nothing stopping Okabe from becoming friends with everyone again either.
