This led to a rush to 'get modern' when led to shit like the pinto, dart, and gremlin.
Meanwhile other countries are fine tuning their craft making more efficient and reliable items while americans are still going forward with overweight, underpowered, committee designed shit.

Remington dropped the ball on quality control and their remington 700's have been dogshit. if they simply fixed that issue they would be fine. But everyone who was thinking of buying a 700 was turned away and told to get a tikka or a savage instead.
