although this hardly "debunks" the claims that Russia hacked muh electionz. it's just that they left out the most significant elements of the story, like going after voter rolls and registration, not actually changing votes, which everyone agrees would be nearly impossible to do. Furthermore, the few places where machines are hooked up to the "internet" (an internal server ran by the state), none of these places are in swing states or close states/counties won by Trump. This entire thing was gone through with a fine tooth comb probably over a year ago. There never was anything there.
And to cap this off, they don't actually know that it's "The Russians" who did some of these things. The fact is that Russia relies on alot of outside sources for their cyber intel, particularly in Ukraine, and its very unlikely that groups within Russia would not know how to use proxies and VPN's to hide their IP's. the entire "report" blaming the russians says that IP's they picked up at the time were some IP's known to some Hacker groups that sometimes work with the Kremlin. and not all the IP's either. but IP's change, which is exactly what led the Compost (iirc) to run a story saying some power plant had been hacked into by le russians. when it was some random IP address that the CIA/NSA dropped in their Russia report. Ofc, it was just benign.
It probably was the Russians doing the hacking, but it's absurd to just flatly take their word for it when they lie so often.
