That is total bullshit. The funniest, most iconic episodes were in the last three years, primarily in 7 and 8.
Larry was only involved with the show up until 7 and the show sucked hard for about the first five years. Yeah, it had some good episodes here and there but they were mostly reliant on repeating unfunny shit hoping to wear you down and give up on watching the show ever again (sort of like Family Guy).
The Contest is one of the worst episodes ever. So's that one where Elaine dates the pro-life guy.
Season 8 had "The Bizarro Jerry" and "The Comeback." That's just scratching the surface of that season alone.
