Other than MUH MANGA explain how the Death Note movie won't be great

same reason why dragonball, avatar, and ghost in the shell failed

Fuck off and kill yourself.

>same reason why dragonball, avatar, and ghost in the shell failed

Because they had bad directors? This one has a good director like Edge of Tomorrow.

It's confirmed Kino by Sup Forums.
Ignore the autistic weebs on here.

There are blacks.

seconded

There were blacks in the original story too and Mogi was half nigger.

...

>Jewlywood got tired of remaking old movies, so now they just adapt Chinese cartoons

edge of tomorrow was a pretty loose adaption though. And Tom Cruise was surprisingly good in it.

>turning light into a generic, edgy angsty white guy mass-shooter character
>creative or interesting

It lacks soul.

Because the protag is some edgy, troubled teen instead of keikaku doori scheming master.

So is this.
>edgy angsty white guy mass-shooter character
You don't know this

Because hollywood.

The characters don't seem right.
Ryuk seems like he really cares dropping the death note directly into his lap and even guiding him towards killing.
Light seems reluctant to kill and not a top of every field overachiever with a god complex
We haven't seen much of L but he appears to be running around a lot and not autistic.

Seriously I couldn't care less about the races of the characters and I think Ryuk looks great but nothing is right.

>You don't know this
The trailers make this clear.

>Light seems reluctant to kill

He was the first time in the manga too

FUCK OFF YOU JEW. I have eyes and ears and and i can see and hear how shit this is.

Same reason why superhero movies sucked until Marvel revised the formula
Rather than embracing the whole story and world, including its quirks, they instead opt to "modernize" it and make it "realistic".
They CHANGE what made it good in the first place.

You have to embrace the oddness of the story and work with it.
Can you imagine how a JoJo live action movie would turn out if you tried to make it "realistic"?

Ignoring the shit acting because even good acting wouldn't have saved these movies.
DB Evolution: Rather than being dragon ball, the MC was just a generic loser who was slightly stronger than a normal person and did tons of normal shit. Piccolo wasn't even piccolo.
Avatar: They completely changed bending. The big "twist" for firebending was "making fire without existing fire", or literally what every firebender in the series did.
Didn't see ghost in the shell.

You can't just take something, warp it beyond belief, and expect it to live up to the original
DmC is a great video game example. Same name, completely different game story and character wise. Outside of memes, everything is completely forgettable about the game.

Death Note will fail because Light isn't the same character as he is in the original and they'll repeatedly attempt to shoe horn him into a similar personality at one moment, only for them to change it the next. Also the black guy light is retarded.

For all of 1 episode before he goes "god of the new world"

>EVIL WHITE MALE tries to kill everyone because he's EVIL! But SMART BLACK GUY sees through his plans and saves the day because he's GOOD! And SMART!
Sup Forums baiting aside, they just won't have any chance of presenting any merit of the story in the movie format. It's too short.

It needed to be more of a loose adaptation. The scene that we've seen with Ryuk trying to force the deathnote into Light's hands is not Ryuk's character, it's the opposite. Willem Defoe is perfect casting for Ryuk's voice, but they should have either not shared names between characters and done their own thing, or stuck more to the characterization in the books.

Slight hesitation. But they show how Ryuk has to push him to even try it.

Completely fucking wrong.

the only good casting was willem dafoe. the ultra pale basement dwelling supercop is a nigger. seems like the sjw got to it.
