MUD PEOPOL

>70,000 small huts and houses vs 70,000 large structures made of steel, concrete, and brick.

woah good job mexico

still 900 ad, is quite an achievement you know?

he's a fragile trumptard

Incredible, in fact I might just move over there.

Doesn't seem to cover the idea that they were constantly trying to build sew structures while their city was continually getting covered up by dust.

blonald blumpfington

At least the Indians of North and South America, have a history albeit savage, but they still have one.
Niggers on the other hand have mud huts, and disco lips

Yucatan is an interesting area.

>archaeological find
>lmaooo lets equate this to niggers stealing the history of every single civilization because it's similar somehow
>WE

>comparing mud huts to modern engineering
that would make any sane person mad

The New World societies were legitimately more advanced than Old World societies. They just got screwed over by disease

>comparing mud huts to manhattan
this is textbook wewuzzery

>le guns germs and steel meme

Most Posters seem to miss that the cultures who created those structures are by no means Niggers or Spics but a long diminished race of Atztecs/Inca/Maya etc

alright then, 96 AD

>comparing mud huts to manhattan
it's only telling us how many buildings are in Manhattan as perspective, so it's not really comparing.

>comparing the size and scale of an ancient city to a modern city for reference is the same as equating primitive technology to modern technology

nice nigger logic you got there OP

It ain't a meme. The only reason why the European powers were able to Colonize the New World was because something around 95% of all natives died of disease. If not it would be more like Old world colonies full of their own indigenous populations

This silences the libtard

Oh wow! Well.. fuck the wall then! Let 'em all in!

>Trying to use a meme for negros in mexicans
Dont post until you know how to use this meme you faggot

>comparing Europe, a country that had access to trade with other great countries from Asia and the Middle East for hundreds of years, to a country that was basically isolated and didn't have the same trading opportunities as other "old" world countries...
uhhhhhh

was the article implying we should let in all shitskins or are you strawmanning?

That was an ocular feast sir! brovo!

Dios mio, el leyenda de la isla perdido era cierta!

Are you saying that primitive American cultures didn't interact

Come on, none is comparing one of the greatist cities wich reached a population that was never reached again until industrial revolution with a who knows tribe in america.
Still is quite an achievement tat tribe who none heard about before could have a big city in ancient times

Don’t act like you’re one of us. We hate spics as well as niggers.
>inb4 you’re full Spanish. I don’t want moors here either.

oh ok. so why is ecuador majority native still?

>great countries
>Asia and the Middle East

I believe it. The aztecs were having huge troubles feeding their people before western contact.

The early history of agricultural man probably saw tons of bubbles like that.

They compared a mud hut City to Manhattan

they didnt have either wheel either merchan ships, so they hardly where able to proper comerce, also silk road and roman nourrish from all their lands commercin hispania galia greece, egypt etc etc

also Peru

>woke bean kang
>not able to trade with other countries on your continent
>not able to travel to other continent
good job

The native societies in Ecuador Bolivia and Peru as well as Southern Mexico already practiced intensive agriculture. Everywhere else were populated by Hunter gathers and societies who were just experimenting with agriculture. These populations could not bounce back after the waves of disease annhilated their populations while the settled agriculture societies could.

So it's really not a accomplishment
A bunch if people got together and built huts near each other

yep, actually the title is trying to give more importance to an actual new discovery, they shouldnt compare manhatam but givem the purepecha at least some points

I dont want to be a stinky amerimutt with le 56% white bavarian blood. Op is using the meme in a wrong way, spics doesnt appropiated of your history like niggers, So come back when you really understand what i am saying.

Aztecs and Mayans were on the same levels of technology and so were the Incas in South America, they didn't trade knowledge and goods like Europe did with Asia and Europe
>implying Asians and the Middle East hundreds and thousands of years ago didnt have great science and math discoveries.
They had VERY similar cultures in the Americas. Europe had the chance to interact with different cultures from Asia and the Middle East, trading goods and knowledge.

Go home slanteye you're drunk

Did the Aztecs have plumbing?
Did the Mayans have iron?
Did the Incas have the wheel?

dude there are hundreds if not thousands of cities with similar numbers of buildings as manhattan, yet not all are as advanced or cosmopolitan as manhattan.

the authors chose to compare that mexican city to one of the most developed cities in the world. that choice was not a coincidence, the comparison was made to make the reader imagine an advanced society.

>calling this mudhuts
>mudhuts preserve through time

Here's Pompeii, a third-tier city in the Roman Empire.

bretty brud / 10

Imagine Europe without gunpowder or compass or paper. You are vastly underestimating how crucial trade was too the development of European domination during the 16th-20th century

What is their criteria for a "building"?

Everything I listed was invented in the B.C.

hold on. if a population is being annihilated in a hunter-gather society, then there is less competition for game and forage. their numbers should increase after less competition.

if a population is being annihilated in a agrarian society, supply chains and farms will break down, leading to starvation. their numbers should decrease.

meant for

>the virgin big stack of rocks vs the chad entertainment complex and monument to the Roman people

Wrong person
We aren't talking 16th century

Hmmmm. It has a wall....

Why are you all being faggots about this
It's just an interesting piece of history

>he thinks international trade made up any significant part of ancient economies.

hooool up, why don dey like...invent that shit?
they had a gigantic continent and if there was nothing to great there...they could have sailed to another.
just imagine how great a continent is that can't figure out to write on paper or make gunpowder when asia and europe found that stuff out.

everything i do i do for (You)'s

this is one of my finest casts

>Did the Aztecs have plumbing?
In Tenochtitlan (modern day MX city)
>Did the Mayans have iron?
Yes
>Did the Incas have the wheel?
I don't know a lot about Incas, to be honest.

I know you're implying that if they all did (which they did) they should have been like Europe and such, but Europe had a WAY bigger head start and geography is also a big reason why Europe flourished and grew. It's also not the same thing going from the West to the East (Europe to China) like the North to the South (Mexico to Peru).

Differences in carrying capacity.
HG societies have lower carrying capacities than Agricultural ones do. So yeah more people would die in the Agricultural society but since they're are already a hell lot more of them it's more likely for them to bounce back.

This shit needs to come back. Perfect for captured enemy combatants. Give them swords spears axes, and maces with bits of armor and let them fight to the death for our entertainment.

Yes they had plumbing
Yes they had the wheel.
No they did not learn to refine iron.
Just as the Vikings didn't know.

Everything you said is wrong mexibro

I believe they compared to Manhattan because it's an article to the American audience. Like they use "football fields" or "alqueires" here, depending of the audience (urban or rural).

Dumb fucking spic.
Mexico has wide availability of any sort of natural resource you could think of and better climate overall than Europe. They didn't need trade when everything was at their disposal. They weren't smart enough to exploit it.

Which one is currently surrounded with niggers 24/7, again?

"we wuz a nyc ghetto"

movin on up eh

america has good inhabitable climate zones, just like europe and asia have.
If europe traded with asia, north and south america could have traded with another
under those asumtions the only difference was what they greated, whilst having the same climate and the same trading possibilities

>if europe can trade with china, mexico can trade with cities in the north and south.

>Mayans and Aztecs actually built great civilizations
Depends on how you define "great."

Are you retarded?

When did Jared Diamond move to Mexico?

>He never heard of international trade during the Indian Ocean.
Literally the first civilizations of Sumer and the IVC were engaging in international trade

Why do you expect them to when Europeans never figured that shit out in the first place and just got it from a different society. Inventing shit is hard, it's why agriculture civilizations only popped up independently 4 times in the new world yet spread throughout the rest of it like a cancer. Most of the time people just adopt technologies other people invented, so shit was difficult when there were only 2 civilized societies in the New World and they weren't trading that much with each other versus 4 and eventually many more in the old world.

Great as in, they achieved some level of technological development, unlike the kangz, even though they were quite brutal.

>hooool up, why don dey like...invent that shit?
because innovation and inventing takes centuries (Europe had a BIG headstart along with Asia)
>they had a gigantic continent and if there was nothing to great there...they could have sailed to another.
They thought what they had was great. Imagine you had a shitty Beetle from the 50s and thought it was the best technology and thing ever but there's a fucking Tesla available and you don't even know they exist.
>just imagine how great a continent is that can't figure out to write on paper or make gunpowder when asia and europe found that stuff out.
trading and sharing science with other countries and cultures is a huge part of that

what part exactly?
Aztecs had plumbing in modern day Mexico (they were taking showers and shit while the Spanish came and were all stanky). Metals and shit in those times en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metallurgy_in_pre-Columbian_Mesoamerica
Nigga...
it takes time (centuries) for discoveries, y'know?

Holy fuck nigger can’t you just appreciate a good archeological find?

>bring the biggest BBC from Africa to watch them fight while you and your bros wear robes vs capturing and sacrificing the best warriors of opposing tribes to satiate your blood hungry gods

Not really trade between Northern and Southern latitudes is a lot more harder than between East West due to similarities in climate and ecosystems. There was next to no trade between West Africa and Europe, but a lot of trade between Europe and the Middle East.

whats bad about acknowledging other civilizations succes, is not fake up info is a study, and prove that mexican were able to have decent amounts of populations in their cities in ancient times

None is claiming they were in the same level as roman empire chinese empire etc etc, they just undercover a city wich was lost, there is nothing literaaly with that, and "same amount of buildings as manhatam" is just a clickbait

Accept your culture is lame
Aztec's reached the bronze age by the time Europe was navigating the fucking globe

>When we saw so many cities and villages built in the water and other great towns on dry land we were amazed and said that it was like the enchantments (...) on account of the great towers and cues and buildings rising from the water, and all built of masonry. And some of our soldiers even asked whether the things that we saw were not a dream? (...) I do not know how to describe it, seeing things as we did that had never been heard of or seen before, not even dreamed about.

—Bernal Díaz del Castillo, The Conquest of New Spain[5]

(pic unraleted)

remember him that our ancestors were trapped 10 thousand years in the beringia straight and it took them another 10 thousand years to domestify enough vegetables to sustain a population

meanwhile they had europe for 30 thousand years and cows for 10 thousand years and until fairly recently it was nothingland

>whats bad about acknowledging other civilizations succes, is not fake up info is a study, and prove that mexican were able to have decent amounts of populations in their cities in ancient times
I think that says something about the poster's personal insecurities.

You're a fucking idiot. They did NOT have the wheel. Their "plumbing" was limited to aqueducts and carved stone channels. No pipes. They didn't even have BRONZE, you fucking cretin, and the Vikings most definitely had iron.
HOW FUCKING STUPID WOULD YOU HAVE TO BE TO THINK THE VIKINGS DIDN'T HAVE IRON?

Some Spanish sailor can't be wrong or over embellishing

...why are there 2 civilized societies that rarely trade with one another and 4 that trade with one another?
just why is there a difference in numbers and trading, sempai?
how does europe and asia have a big headstart?
did the humans evolve 5k years later in america?
>They thought what they had was great. Imagine you had a shitty Beetle from the 50s and thought it was the best technology and thing ever but there's a fucking Tesla available and you don't even know they exist.
why did some invent it and others didn't thought? like... if I have a shitty beetle and someone else has a shitty beetle why would he make a tesla?
>trading and sharing science with other countries and cultures is a huge part of that
again, why did we start doing it, and they didn't

Well nah they can't lie cuz is a sin.

It's not a accomplishment
It's basic human nature

That's a lot of unchecked breeding considering the lack of medicine or hygiene back then
Bet it looked like a mud hut favella

Not only that, trade winds blow from east to west. Sailing north to south is much more difficult even when you’re hugging the land. It’s part of the reason why the Spanish empire overtook the Portugease

To be fair, wheels are pretty useless in mountain and jungle terrain so their development was unnecessary for central and South American civilization

>even though they were quite brutal.
that is just a BIG fucking meme, proto amerilards burned "witches" and other dumb shit (like having slaves)... also inquisition, Belgian colonialism etc etc.

>Wheel
>Useless

we didn't trade with africa because they had fuck all. we traded with people that had shit.
the reason we didn't trade with africa(some parts) is thus not necesserly due to latitudial(?) difference but due to them not having stuff we won't
which changes once they sell slaves.
we sailed around africa to get shit, baka.

Around 1300 BCE

>Like having slaves
So no ameriaindian tribes had slaves?

>>if europe can trade with china, mexico can trade with cities in the north and south.
there was nothing in modern day USA other than native americans (redskins, not Aztecs) and those guys did absolutely nothing. There's a video on YT that explains all of this but I don't remember it. It's somebody like CGP grey or something.
...because they had a huge fucking headstart. You do realize humans weren't in the Americas at the same time that they were in Europe? I'm not even a huge fan of Aztec culture, I'm just speaking facts man.

>how does europe and asia have a big headstart?
>did the humans evolve 5k years later in america?
Humans weren't in the Americas the same time as they were in Africa, Asia and Europe. They didn't have the same opportunities to share knowledge and goods with other VERY DIFFERENT cultures.

Because innovation. People change and innovate stuff to their NEEDS. If a Beetle satisfies the needs of a guy, why would he change it? "Don't fix what ain't broke". The guy who made the Tesla wanted something BETTER because his needs were higher to the other guy.

>>trading and sharing science with other countries and cultures is a huge part of that
>again, why did we start doing it, and they didn't
refer to my first answer.

If it's basic human nature, why didn't Africans or Australoids achieve the same as the Aztecs?

>burned witches
Mayans and Inca didn’t sacrifice virgins and babies?
