Ninja Slayer was truly a niche show. I loved it, but so many others hated it or gave up on it after the first couple of episodes.

Ninja Slayer is unironically one of the most fun rides I've ever had the pleasure to experience. It did everything it wanted to do and achieved everything it wanted to achieve, it was amazing. If you really hate this show, you have shit taste.

Just yesterday I remembered about it and started listening to the opening and the endings again.

So have no idea about the LNs, but what the hell was even Yamoto's role in the story? It's like every few chapters they would just go AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY UNRELATED.

I love how Ninja Slayer played itself straight from start to finish. Legitimately one of my favorite Trigger animations.

Literally the best use of a low budget I've ever seen.

I downloaded the Domo version a couple months ago without a hitch.

They're pretty good, if I remember correctly.

Koki's thing is kinda a slow burn. I get this feeling that she might end up being an important midboss who then turns into Ninja Slayer's ally, or the Final Boss. During the Kyoto arc, she grows out her hair, joins a detective agency, and starts to master her powers more to the point of pulling off some really cool stuff. Based on what I've heard, she starts on her way to going full villain in the later novels, so the earlier setup is to give her depth. Not sure, but I'm guessing here that just as Ninja Slayer accepted the Naraku aspect of himself that was thirst for revenge, Koki is gradually accepting the Shi Ninja aspect of herself that loved killing and death. Also, Naraku and Shi were apparently arch-nemeses in the Golden Age of Ninjas.
