First for a cup of tea

Ceann, I.....
Nice numbers btw

kek thank you Serb bro

>2 threads up at once

It's like I'm really on /vg/!
Feels kind of like we made it though, now that there's at least one guy who is determined to ruin the threads instead of merely occasionally shitposting.

That's a shitty memethread by foreigners

Gotta give him credit for the effort

Why so much hate lads. Surely we're not that bad. Anybody on the sesh tonight. Wouldn't mind a pint with the lads to be honest

Reminder:

This is a smear operation i sense
This is funny watching (((Anglo))) scum getting mad

It is a good effort yes

posting gearoid until we get a good fashy 32 county republic

Glad someone saved that old screencap, I still have it lying around somewhere I think

I know, that's what I mean.
Up until now they just come in here shite-talking and now they're making threads. We've gotta be doing something right to warrant that kind of response.

BUMP

I have a better Idea:
Do nothing

Father I hear you’re a racist.

Either way it really doesn't matter all that much

thejournal.ie/unionism-united-ireland-3849573-Feb2018/
What do you lads think of this? I think nothing will come of it honestly but it's interesting all the same

How'd it go anyway? Pissed I missed it

Till I see a united Ireland on paper, in writing, I won't get my hopes up.

>we probably would be better off in the EU
>senior policy advisory in the Obama White House

I agree that we should be preparing for a United Ireland and that it would be foolish to ignore the other side thoughts and concerns but I don't expect much out of this lot. Some of the things they're worried about is the opposite to what I would be. And as for the Unionists they're talking to, they seem to be less hard-headed than most but some of the stuff they were saying they were worried about seem so nonsensical.
I guess even the most reasonable unionist is still in siege mentality.

;^)

How did we let our girls become such whores lads?

>(((polls)))

S**e

Bump

Not important.
A United Ireland will only occur in the event of Labour winning the next Westminster Election, and Corbyn subsequently appointing a NI Secretary who will call for a Border Poll.
Even then, it is likely that the first Border Poll will not pass (however it is also likely that the second Poll will).
Pic related is a much more interesting development.

These talks are largely Theatre, a Spectacle that is not necessary. The advantage for FG is good PR, which allows them to usurp the Grassroots of FF (which is a process that has been occuring for many months now).
For the DUP, it allows them to show their base that they are willing to work with Nationalist parties who aren't SF (which also makes them look good in front of the Tories and EU).
It's all about garnering more votes, not about progress.

You strongly over-estimate how much influence image boards have on wider political discourse and Parliamentary Politics in Ireland (ie: not at all).

Irish dogs

Girls like latinamerican guys?

Pic related, me.

you look like arab. poles and irish are gonna beat you up constantly

Bump

We're not commies you fucking retard. We use your country as an example of how its bad.

like an arab?
really?

>We use your country as an example of how its bad.
Do we now?

They're Irish m8. They hate everyone that isn't them. And they're left-wing af. Basically the all irish are commies meme is true. I'd avoid their shithole country desu

I'm Northern Irish and I feel ashamed of being Irish. We're so subhuman and Ireland is totally inferior to England. Feels bad :(

You look like you could be a local.

>the all irish are commies meme is true

damn right, join us comrade

You don't look Arabic. If you told me you were Irish I wouldn't object.

If you like it so much why don't you move there?

But gdp percapite is higher in Ireland than UK, right? I am going there to learn english and save money

No, we Irish are so awful compared to the English. Irish women exist to serve British men.

Terrible approach

t. billy basil fotherington

You could be a Pakistani a Welshman a Scot an Englishman, the beauty of the Irish tricolour is that what you see is what you get, Irishmen nothing more nothing less. You are pathetic.

Why you say that? Ireland is great country, come on. Dont talk like that, Ireland is cool, nice history, landscapes, rich...

Are you kidding? Irish history is just a catalogue of times we were BTFO'd by England. I hate this country. Irish people are inferior to the English. ;(

Our most important founding father was half irish. We like Ireland here
Bernardo O'higgins

He's a Paki ignore him

I'm not. I have accepted my role as a cuckold for posh English men. Why are they sooo much better than me?

>We like Ireland here
That's only because you live on the other side of the Atlantic and don't have to deal with the whiney red bastards

West Brit detected

dublingaelic.blogspot.ie/2014/07/how-exactly-did-dublin-irish-die-out.html?m=1

>At first, the question 'How did local Irish die out in Dublin?' seems deceptively simple: the answer of course being that, as elsewhere, its speakers stopped passing it on to their children, making a conscious decision that they grow up speaking English instead. This is the so-called 'utilitarian' explanation most often favoured by those today who have the proudest contempt for Irish.
>The reality is more complex. Firstly, the abandonment of Irish took place only once its speakers had been so disempowered, marginalised, denigrated and impoverished - collectively punished - that they in turn associated Irish (their language) with the powerlessness, stigma, and poverty of their condition, and, by contrast, English (the state's language) with empowerment, prestige, economic advancement and relief.
>Between 1600 and 1700 it seems the locally-raised upper and middle classes spoke English, and likely understood Irish if not spoke it natively too (as late as the early twentieth century the gentry of Connacht often learnt Irish to communicate with the peasantry); the urban working class would have spoken Irish (being often of rural parentage) and English; outside of Fingal, where a dialect of Middle English (Fingallian) was spoken alongside Irish, countryside even close to the city would have spoken Irish exclusively, perhaps only learning a little English in adulthood. (Notably, Dublin was a convenient meeting-place for circles of native Gaelic scholars from all over Ireland during at least the eighteenth century, and probably before as well.)

It is known that the Irish Working Class were the last people to uphold the Irish language in the face of British Imperialism, it is also true that it was the Irish Upper Class who gleeful aided it's death.
It will be the Irish Working Class who revive this language, with the aid of the Socialist Republicans.

explain how Welsh has survived under far more difficult odds than Irish?

First of all, the Russian Federation is capitalist just like we are. Why on earth would a socialist move from one capitalist country to another capitalist country, in order to experience an identical economic system?

Second of all, Eastern Europe never experienced the same economic conditions as Western Europe. This was true in 1850, 1950 and will be true in 2050.
Under Monarchy, Socialism or Capitalism - Russia will always be poorer than the West.

However, it is true that the Soviets bridged this gap. Pic related.

Wew. You fucking cunts don't even try to hide your marxist fuckery

Socialist Republicans want the Irish language but they want to kill the Irish culture. Have you ever heard of any of them giving a fuck about anything but the language?

No, they actively try to import multiculturalism and stamp out the few Irish traditions that remain, as unacknowledged as they are. Even then, they falsely associate it with Christianity to demonize it
I would rather an Irish Ireland speaking english than a hollow shell of a country that projects a veneer of 'irishness' to the outside world.

Bollocks, you shit talk capitalism and kiss arse about so called great socialist societies while never having had the misfortune of actually growing up in one and experiencing it at face value, what's the wage like in Russia? It's like 3 times better here than it was in Poland who were a communist country for like 40 years that's why so many of them move here, any polish user will tell you that.

>You fucking cunts don't even try to hide your marxist fuckery

What is there to hide?

>they want to kill the Irish culture. Have you ever heard of any of them giving a fuck about anything but the language?

Have you never heard of the Irish Language Act or Sinn Féin participating in Irish language promotion both side of the border?
Hell, look at the twitter accounts of elected PBP politicians, they also regularly speak Irish.

>I would rather an Irish Ireland speaking english
A contradiction, as typical of a West Brit

>Hurr durr, duh EU helps our economy
No, it doesn't. It weighs it down with regulation after regulation, and mandatory debt payments that they forced on us

Fuck this shit. I never actually believed that you were all communists. I do now

>kiss arse about so called great socialist societies while never having had the misfortune of actually growing up in one and experiencing it at face value

Alright, you can ask them themselves. Pic related.

When did I say I wanted to live in Eastern Europe? I thought I made it quite clear in the post you're replying to that Eastern Europe will be behind Western Europe no matter what system is in place.
This was true 200 years ago, it will likely be true in 200 years time. It is simultaneously true that the Soviets sped up industrialisation hugely, and thus made the economic gap between East and West smaller.

>reads post about sf only caring about the language
>posts I'm wrong because they want the language
Go back to the sub, they also like Marxism and hate our culture

Why are there so many fucking Marxists on Éire/pol/? Where are all the Capitalists?

Entering "sage" (by itself) into the [Options] field while replying will cause the thread not to bump to the top of the page. Contrary to popular belief, a sage is not a downvote, and should not be used as one. "sage-bombing" or announcing that you've saged a thread may result in a ban.

A history of suffering under Imperialism for centuries, leading to exasperated economic toil. As such, the Irish working class are more inclined towards Socialism.
Pic related.

As we view this on a Europe-wide scale, we can see that Ireland elected 5 Socialists to the European Parliament.
France, in comparison, also elected 5 (despite the fact that they have over 10 times our population). Sweden, in comparison, only elected one.
