Mousou Telepathy everyone. Delusional/paranoid Telepath

Mousou Telepathy everyone. Delusional/paranoid Telepath.

I want to fuck Shadow Nakano.

This is kinda dumb.

I'd buy this arc if she hadn't revealed the thing to Mana, but at this point, she told Mana about it, and if she's ever unsure, she can just ask her right? Hell, hasn't she proved it when she talked to Mana about it in the first place?

Seriously? She couldn't tell she was judging others and making up thoughts about them? She either must have been so elitist and patrician to not even be able to notice, much less, even go and make friends and hang out with people, her loneliness manifested itself physically like that. Crazy.

You mean the colored one on panel 4? Yeah, I'd nail it too lol

She's just repressed and in denial like most

This makes no sense, we saw more than once with Croissant that se is indeed able to read other people's mind.

I mean it's not hard to test this.

She's not talking about the mindreading, she's talking about the visual images that usually come with it. Like Toda's imaginary nosebleeds.

Doesn't make sense, she got accurate details she could not have possibly know from people she knew notihng about

What's exactly wrong with that? She's just making up images to go along with the thoughts she reads.

>OH GOD NAKANO IS HOT I WANT TO FUCK HER
What is she supposed to imagine? Puppies and kitties? Or Toda's big hard throbbing erection? The latter makes more sense to me. It's not like people don't imagine pictures for their own thoughts too.

The context is that she "sees" images in her heads, but they keep being wrong. So she is mindreading, but her mind is making up all of the colored visuals that go along with the mind reading.

So when she sees someone else thinking of super lewd images of her- there's a good chance they aren't, she's just imagining them.

So she's focusing on one slice of pie juxtaposed to others as a whole?

Yeah, tptally a guy who thinks 'things, mainly erotic' isn't imagining that, it's just her

Well there is a bit of a difference between thinking "Man, that girl is so cute, I wish we could do things together. Mostly erotic things."

And thinking that same thought while imagining her clothing coming off and her riding on your dick.

Also- if she's the one supplementing the thoughts with graphic images from *her own mind* that means she's got a pretty naughty subconscious as well.

Wtf, I always thought those were just visual helps for us readers. Now they're treating it as if the MC actually sees them?

>So when she sees someone else thinking of super lewd images of her- there's a good chance they aren't, she's just imagining them.

But if we're going by the logic of her mind making up the visuals that go along with the mind reading, that would mean that said someone IS thinking of super lewd images of her, but instead, it's Nakano's mind that contextualizes said thoughts into lewd images rather than the image going straight to her head.

Maybe I don't get it, but to me, this just seems like this:
>Before
Toda thinks of X, Toda's brain creates a mental image of X, Nakano receives image of X via telepathy
>after
Toda thinks of X, Nakano becomes aware of Toda's idea of X via telepathy, Nakano's brain creates mental image of X.

this. but I don't know why does she react so dramatically, because this won't change anything. Toda loves her, the visual images being inaccurate/wrong doesn't mean shit. I guess the author ran out of ideas and this is the result.

I usually love it when quirky and charming 4koma series try to spice things up with a cheeky twist or two to bring the series together before the finale but this one really didn't hit the mark.

This.
It's not even resolved in some great way, it's just woo hoo let's get everyone to help Nakano with power of friendship!
Maybe author is running out of ideas.

she realizes that she basically has an unreliable narrator in her own head. When she "sees" what the ex girlfriend looks like before actually seeing her- she was totally wrong.

So she can't rely on the visuals anymore for information, because it's all just made up.

And considering she's a bit shy/prudish, that means her "naughty" visuals come from her own brain, which seems to freak her out.

It sounds contrived to me too, but this twist has been clearly planned since the beginning, just look at the title.

SO HOW LONG IS THIS FUCKING ARC GOING TO LAST
BECAUSE I AM SICK TO DEATH OF IT ALREADY

>quirky and charming 4koma series try to spice things up with a cheeky twist or two to bring the series together before the finale
How often does this actually happen though?

It happens more often than you think. From the top of my head Yandere Kanojo pulls off a really good dramatic backstory the main dude, Pupipo while not a 4koma is something you just have to experience yourself, and Senyuu just suddenly became this grand storyline somewhere down the line. And there's plenty more that do it with varying degrees of effectiveness, this however is less effective than the story thinks.

People get tired after a long SoL where nothing happens stories. They either wrap the stories up (and lose their moneymaker) or add some spice so people would be interested again.

So is the "delusion" as the title suggests her belief that she can read minds, when she actually cannot?
I had a feeling very early on (or more a hope, since I'm a cynic) that everything she was hearing/seeing from other people was all in her head. That instead of hearing others thoughts, it's actually her own insecurities haunting her. Everyone around her thinks negatively of her because that's how she sees herself, and hayato fantasizes about her because that's how she wants the boy she loves to feel about her.
Of course, this theory falls apart with Mana. The only way to explain Mana would be that she doesn't exist. But I don't believe that holds up because clearly everyone in the story acknowledges Her. Either way, this story is getting exciting.
Edit: now that I think about it. There's also no evidence that shows Toda is even in love with Aya. He never once says anything close to a confession out loud. The idea of him being in love all came from his "thoughts". And the only person who supports that belief other than Aya is Mana. But if Mana is not real...

But we have seen toda what toda thinks without MC being anywhere around.

Also, I'd like to say something regarding the other perspective; her telepathy being real.

So assuming her telepathy is real, how do we answer the question of the mistaken girls (Toda's ex and Akira's girlfriend).
Well personally I think the two boys really did imagine the girls to look that way. What I mean is, Akira sees his girlfriend as looking slightly different because maybe he subconsciously wants a different girlfriend, one who's physical appearance is more satisfying to him. And maybe Toda remembers his ex differently because it has been a long time since he has seen her and maybe he simply doesn't remember too well, or, more likely, he imagines her being more plain looking because every girl looks plain compared to Nakano.

Ah, I don't remember that. I should try to find that chapter.

>So is the "delusion" as the title suggests her belief that she can read minds, when she actually cannot?
she CAN read minds, but only the "words".
All the "images" are of her own making.

IIRC she did prove her ability to read minds by telling some detail the other was thinking which she couldn't have been able to know just by guess\analysis.

But if the IMAGES are unreliable, it means at least PART of her reading is unreliable. She CAN read minds, but HOW MUCH of what she reads is actually HER IMAGINATION? Just the images or even some sentences\thoughts?

And even if it's just the images... that means she keeps having LEWD THOUGHT about her love interest especially.

>She's just making up images to go along with the thoughts she reads.
That's the whole point, user.
She thought those "images" were also coming from other people, but she just noticed it was all hers.

...

What is happening in untranslated part of manga now?

>Now
She always saw them. Pretty sure there's a chapter where Toda hugs her or something and she panics, but it was the illusion.
Or when she laughed at green's "mental" image of Mana's Croissant hair.

>But if we're going by the logic of her mind making up the visuals that go along with the mind reading, that would mean that said someone IS thinking of super lewd images of her, but instead, it's Nakano's mind that contextualizes said thoughts into lewd images rather than the image going straight to her head.
That's why we had two or three chapters or real people NOT looking like their imaginary counterparts.

Looks like the fags posting the bootleg fanfiction were right.

Reminder that ch63 exists.
Yuri end confirmed.

what yuri end? :^)

>those confused eyes
nuoh my dog

Have you read Tomo-chan? I'm kidding, of course you have, so you should know all about those shitty twists. The biggest twist us that we keep reading even with all the hiatuses.

>whiting out text
I usually don't mind speed scans, but I'll stick to helvetica. That shit is just nasty.

helvetica is pretty slow so I read speed for pure plot purpose only, not exactly pretty but it gets the job done.

>one per day
>slow
???

>Pretty slow
>Nobel releases one page daily.
>Releases one page daily, sometimes two.

They're keeping the same pace as it's supposed to be read, and I do appreciate that. They're behind as well but I think that was because it'd be a real pain to redraw and typeset something like this daily

I picked the wrong word for that, not slow but a bit behind schedule for current raw.

I get you. Honestly nothing's really lost though. I'm glad they're trying their best to keep it daily like it's supposed to be.

true, I only read speed for knowing the story but for editing and enjoying, Helvetica is where it's at.

It's been foreshadowed since the first volume that Nakano hears the words, but the pictures are her own mental image. When her mother was thinking about the Seikai Sandwiches or whatever, Nakano saw a picture of a regular sandwich, but her mom knew they were chocolate sandwich cakes.

Author set this up.

>bootleg fanfiction
They're just slightly lower quality scanlations

What did he mean by this?

Are you an idiot?

>Edit:
Wait a second...

Probably copy-pasted comment from somewhere.

Probably one of the view instances where the "visuals" were correct

Wait, so she's had these powers her whole life, and she's just figuring this shit out now?

A tweest deeper than the Mariana trench?

As a kid the voices were very clear, so she assumed they were real.
Never crossed her mind to second guess herself.

Wait, the voices in her head are real but the images are just her imagination, right?

It's either that, or she's just panicking because few people changed their hairstyles.

Didn't she start getting images after the series started or was she always able to see them?

Its actually so next level. Think about everything in the story that was in color just not happening. This recontextualizes every character. Especially Nakano. Not only does it make her probably schizo, she also is incredibly good at understanding people, since she must have been correct about at least some of her mental images to convince mana.
Go back and read the comic with just the black and white. Tell me what you really know about any character.

She can still hear their voices, otherwise she couldn't have known about his ex, or prove her powers to Mana.

Unless she was scarily accurate. Even a broken clock strikes right twice a day, and mana isnt static. She's been convinced she can read people's minds her entire life, she could become more accurate with practice. The point is she's a schizo, providing the voices and images, and a narcissist, willing to lie to herself to inform her delusions.

>mana
Lol sry i mean aya

>The point is she's a schizo, providing the voices and images
What the fuck are you talkign about? The voices are real.

>she's a schizo
I'd really like to see this fanfic tier speculation not ever appear again. The whole thing is that she can read minds, but the imagery associated with the mindreading is analog to her own mind.

e.g. If her mom is thinking about how handsome Toda might be despite having never seen him, Aya will see Toda through her mother's mental imagery because the images are filled in by Aya's own mind.

No, she's too accurate at times like this one to be just guesswork, even a really good one.
If it turns out that all of her mindreading is fake it would be beyond bullshit.

Croissant a best

why is the hallway in color ?
why is Mana in color ?
Is this all in her head ?
Fuck it's Homunculus all over again

Because she doesn't know what's real and what's her imagination any more. She's losing it hard. Also, read the title.

>its funny because it sounds like you're talking to yourself
>aya and the audience think mana is going along with everything because it makes sense and she believes aya
>mana has been a conniving bitch 50% of the time and would have motive to befriend aya after finding out shes a fucking loon

The color suddenly on all the imagery is representative of aya questioning reality around her, suddenly she sees everything around her in her dreamlike colors because she is now calling into question whether any of it isn't in her head.

I remember the 'she's just imagining it' being an theory early, but that stopped making significant sense after she told Mana. I don't understand where this is going.

I really like this series but this story arc is really fucking stupid. It makes actually 0 sense for Aya to doubt her powers at this point unless she's actually retarded

The fact is that this is the first time she's been proven wrong about her abilities. As prolonged as this arc might be, it at least as enough sense starting out.

You know, between the color changes and mind reading mid-dialogue this would be strangely hard to adapt into anime.

You'd have to listen to it with surround sound, and have the telepathy lines come out of only the rear channels.
