I have incredibly mixed feelings. On the one hand, worst girl won. On the other, I know that fucking first kiss feel. Christ.

I liked them both. Both series had likeable but shallow girls and shitty protagonists. TLR actually delivered on the fan service unlike Nisekoi, while Nisekoi was generally a little funnier. TLR's ending was a disappointment while Nisekoi's was a disaster. Both felt rushed in the end.

Nisekoi at least had chemistry development and was funny on its own right (at least main girl wasn't a neo-tsundere or a modern tsundere). WSJ deadlines were the ones that made the final arc feeling too rushed and badly executed.

Ch. 175 IIRC. If i put two on two, then it makes sense that was the moment where the manga started to rush things. The episode 175 was released almost 1 year before the series' finale, so the cancellation message could've been sent during chapters 170 and 180.

No the reason he chose Chitoge is because he loved her. You can see throughout the series that he has the best chemistry with her by far.

Chitoge also puts far more effort into trying to get Raku to like her throughout the series once she realizes she likes him.

Meanwhile Kosaki has him on a silver platter throughout the series.

I'd understand if it went into it's ending in 2 or 3 chapters but Nisekoi had 20+ chapters for its ending, and started building towards it 20 chapters in advance. Very few manga get that much time to end, and Nisekoi could have ended all the way back in chapter 50

You probably still haven't read this chapter(since you said you're following the viz releases and you have 3 volumes left) but Chitoge leaves Japan when she hears Onodera say she likes Raku and when she later hears Raku say he liked Onodera since middle school(he says he likes Chitoge too but she's so distraught she leaves before she can hear it)

Chitoge has it much worse throughout the series. Raku isn't in love with her at first, she's practically alone since she has to act as his girlfriend so she can't even confide on Tsugumi, yet she somehow forces herself to try despite always being scared that Raku might not love her...she has to face the most shit... especially when he friend zones her, but she still doesn't give up easily. This is far more worthy of respect than Onodera.

Not to mention I will never forget that time when Raku was in the hospital and Onodera didn't stay long on her visit because Ruri didn't come and she got nervous while Chitoge literally scaled the hospital building just to see him and spent the night with him. That right there just proves Chitoge loves him more.

It's one of the best manga to binge

I read the pilot, read the first chapter and didn't like it. I loved the anime. Shaft's flair to the series was nice. The only thing I regret is not being able to see Mari's rejection/rescue arc animated. That shit would've been fantastic.

season 1 was perfection. I didn't like season 2 as much since the plot progression came to a halt and it was more about them just hanging out and whatever.

The only time she hits him out of "emotional issues" is in the Romeo/Juliet arc when she and Raku are arguing after she got hurt badly by Raku telling her he hated her in the beach arc when Chitoge had just realized she loved him.
