WIth the recent developments in the CDU regarding the painfully obvious succession plans of Merkel we're about to face the possibility of yet another female chanccelor candidate. Even if the enlightened modern conservative CDU voter would never admit it, this is going to anger big parts of the more older male votership of the CDU. This most likely only means for us that continuing to shill for our favourite neoliberal dyke won't be helping us in our endeavour to gain votership on that front. I think the big issue with the current AfD is with their dual-party leadership they have no big central figures to rally around. Weidel is excellent in parliament and I her views,so is Gauland. Hövke is good for rallies. But there's no one I can see with outright "Chancellor" qualities. I hate the idea of a party being a one-man-show but it really helps for messaging, especially if they are marketable.

I'm not shilling for someone purely on charisma, but it's the tool strong leaders can use to get their message across. Clean-cut people who don't cuck and can articulate their message in a hostile environment are crucial to breaking through the programming and negative media coverage. IB's Martin Sellner is very good at this, although his ethnopluralistic views may still be considered too taboo for most Germans. And he's too young.

I don't trust her at all, neither do I trust von Storch. Both tried to purge Höcke from the party and "Lille" pulled a lot of shennanigans during the last years; she is very power driven. And Petry got bought, 800,000€ debt vanished over night and suddenly she started this divisive and damaging shit. Weidel is accomplished, intelligent, rhetorically gifted, but not trustworthy. Maybe I am too pessimistic, but I don't trust her. Still I think the loss of Petry was a heavy blow. She was charismatic, self-made, had many children; but she too was a dubious character in debt.
When in doubt I'd always choose the person of whom I know that he loves the German people and cannot be bought, over the more professional politician. Although ideally you'd have both and I think you have that in Gauland for example. Meuthen, too, probably.
