The anime replaced every panel of him smiling or laughing with one of him scowling so instead of a funny socially awkward jackass who has genuine moments where he's cool he's just a jackass. And people told me that theyre light illusions so are the fishes a stand? Does that mean stands are a lot of concentrated light or something? Or is it just this one? And that frog on his wrist is a metaphore for frogs eating small fish so controlling them just like Rykiel does or is it unrelated?

It's mosaic time again, and there are still a lot of panels left, so... time to forget the "three panels rule". At this point, do as many as you want if you have good ideas. Take your panels from the Batoto colored scans, etc... and try not to shitpost too much.

I love it but let's be real, part 5 was full of forgotten stand powers and shit. And even at the beginning you've got GE getting stabbed by the stand arrow and nothing happening.

I guess 6 just has Annasui's sex change but that's a retcon rather than a plot hole... I'll give you 7 though.

Unfortunately, Jojolion is the worst when it comes to this... It's fun as it comes out but when you read it all together it doesn't make sense.

The arrow with GE was weird. It feels like Araki came up with Requiem, realised Gold Experience was already stabbed, so came up with a weird excuse and forgot to tell anyone. The arrow that grants Requiem is drawn differently to the other 5 even when they're all together in the same panel, and Giorno has one line mentioning it looking slightly different when Polnareff first sends them pics of it online which implies it might be the only arrow capable of it but then it's never elaborated on. It really does feel like he just forgot to actually say 'yeah this arrow is different' because he liked the idea too much to drop it. And 7 didn't really have many plot holes but it did have a lot of dropped elements or ones that just fizzle out because Araki didn't know or care what he was doing with them.

Surprisingly Part 8 doesn't have as many plot holes as you'd think. I was confused as fuck on a reread but looking closer into it and also comparing it to the original Japanese there's very few inconsistencies outside of how long it's fucking been since it started. Some things just seem inconsistent at first because there's been like two or three years between them being mentioned and Araki describes them in different ways now or whatever. Only ones that really pop out at me still is Norisuke saying Josuke's memories will never return but later on saying that he took Josuke in because he has hopes his memories will return and why literally everyone BUT Damo recognised Josuke as Josefumi and/or Kira when Damo was the one investigating them for ages and who was all up in their faces on the day they died.

One thing I don't understand, how does Stray Cat inside of Killer Queen look to non-stand-users? Is it just Stray Cat floating around? Is it Stray Cat appearing and disappearing as Killer Queen opens and closes his abdomen respectively? Does Stray Cat stay completely invisible as soon as it enters another stand? Is Stray Cat made of matter held together by the late cat's stand or is it actually just psychic energy like a stand that inexplicably is visible?

It seemed like it was intentional at first after retconning Tsurugi's age and not wanting to adjust the design so he started drawing every kid as a toddler, but I think he just can't draw them any other way now. I wonder if we arrange all the panels with that little girl in it in a line if it'll spell out 'SEND HELP' or something. I'm worried, Araki.

The arrow felt like Araki pulled out a way to defeat Diavolo out of his ass way too late. It's even worse because he establishes Diavolo as invisible while showing that he's obviously not.
If he wanted a good thematic end he could have pulled it off much better.

He's been doing it this way since Hayato.

Hayato doesn't llok like a literal toddler though, maybe around 6-7. Part 8 kids on the other hand look like they're 2 years old despite being 9, which is exactly Tsurugi's case.

No, Hayato doesn't even reach up to other characters' knees a lot of the time.

Before GER I was expecting something using that power shown in the beginning where attacks are reflected that killed Luke, something like Diavolo sees himself landing a successful kill blow and then follows through but then it was a switch and one of Giorno's created beings so Diavolo ends up killing himself. But as the series went on I slowly began to suspect Araki forgot that power and by GER knew that wouldn't be the case.
