I've never mixed one of these before but I think have enough digital audio experience (and actual decent software!) to figure it out. Is there a proper instrumental out there? It's not the biggest deal if there isn't, since the vocals are mixed fairly low in the original and can be EQed down further, but it's obviously less ideal.

OP, you're doing this wrong. The "Sup Forums draws berserk" one was great but having each frame completely drawn differently made the video look bad during the actiony parts.
You should take a page from /m/'s handbook:

For scenes where there's movement, they would have one person draw the background and the other people would draw the characters. They then combined them.
It looks a lot neater.

I don't exactly agree but we should really encourage user to draw at least 1 second worth of frames. The flower part in berserk opening was terrible because it had high framerate with each frame drawn by different user.

It's much easier than it sounds. In worst case just claiming 5 frames for a static image would already be an improvement in some cases.
