What the fuck is this shit

What the fuck is this shit.

Last time I saw these things, they were clanky gas powered roll cages.

Pic related however is fucking unsettling. Is the future getting out of hand?

These thing are going to be how our government confiscates our guns

Its a good thing a banana peel stops them then.

Boston Dynamics seems proud to be the IRL Cyberdyne.

They're batshit cokehead nerds.

Alas the government will have long confiscated our bananas before they incorporate these things into our law enforcement

clickbait and garbage. at no point did that thing attempt to “fight” off the human or think to do so. its programmed to open the door and thats all it does. id fuck that things world up. if it turns around and picks up a weapon and starts whipping ass sure be scared. but as of now its just a goofy door opening robot.

could you crush it by sitting on it?

The government is going to confiscate bananas? I don't see why or how.

in a gag reel video from those guys. They have been taking kicks with ease for 10 years now. I'm sure trying to fuck with one of those things that was programed to try to twist your neck rather than a door knob would not end well.

Reminder that face recognition and tracking is damn near perfect in real time. That thing could pr programmed to grab you by the neck.

>at no point did that thing attempt to “fight” off the human or think to do so.

just wait until its mounted with a machine gun and tasked to neutralize cishet white males

Oh no, 1 pound of grip strength. Its not like I can just whack the thing with a hammer until it stops working.

Can you imagine these things with flashing lights and sirens?

I feel like a net launcher could take it out really easily. Nets are banned from battlebots for a reason.

I mean... I CAN, but I won't.

And a rotary machine gun with facial recognition programmed into it which is already possible

guns are gonna be obsolete by then, the killer robot has no fear to die.

Passes by your side, shoots you in the guts.

Keeps walking.

So cool! I fucking love technology! Can't wait for the coming dystopia.

>coming dystopia.

>implying the current year is anything but

imagine it had a horse mask?

what a useless thing. It has about the same ai capability as an oblivion npc.

not at that scale.

>You're sure it's just the two robots? You're sure the others are contained?
>Sure... unless they figure out how to open doors.

t. mechanical engineer who is automating the jobs of lower class white scum

feels good man

>all these luddites itt
Something that can shuffle at 3 mph today is something that can run at 15 mph tomorrow
Something that can open a door today is something that can vault a railing tomorrow
Something that can toss a ball today is something that can aim a gun tomorrow
Something that can make respond to stimulus today is something that can make tactical decisions tommorow

MUH AI

t. Faggot who watches too much sci fi

your job will be cheaper to replace than a labor job.

so where's the hypersonic concorde?

they're lower class white scum ofc they're going to complain that the jobs that they suck at (and hate) are going to go away

One question, who controls it?

Can it run through tangled up barbed wire?
Can the nerd reprogram it while I'm peeling his face off?

>your job will be cheaper to replace than a labor job.
unlike you I actually have skill in what I do

lower class scum jobs are being automated as we speak

either get good or die

Architectural engineer here, are you a PE? I don't know the equivalent there.

>zerohedge.com

All they say is "everything out of US is bad, everything fro Russia, China, and other US antagonists are good!"

Trash website.

>unlike you I actually have skill in what I do
A skill that a box can be programmed with.

>lower class scum jobs are being automated as we speak
None are. Robots will always be more expensive than people for physical labor.

>Can it run through tangled up barbed wire?
That's what the fully autonomous treaded tank is for, just drive right over it and allow the smaller ones to walk right on through.

Sounds scary OP but daily riots, swatting, and killer robots fucking shit up sounds like a dream cyberpunk life

I want ornithopters with bird-like legs that humans can ride within my lifetime so I'm not really against this technology in any way.

Dude those chinks really have you putting in the overtime huh? Hope you don't like dogs, since you gave up your guns they will stream roll the fuck out of ya.

You now whats funny? There actually is a RL Cyberdyne, they make exoskeletons.

cyberdyne.jp/english/

>antagonists
You really live in fantasy land huh?

The Jesuit/Jew cabal runs the fucking "story" that the East is taking on the West. They own both sides.

blah blah blah

lower class scum are scared of advancing technology because they're being made redundant and useless. what's new?

like I said, get good or die. if you can't evolve and adapt to the changes then just end yourself. that's life.

that's what anti-tank mines are for.

that would require impossible energy density.

you clearly missed the point. its not the current robos that are a threat, its the future improvement and rate at which they advance

Tanks can't go through barbed wire without it getting tangled up in the sprockets resulting in a mobility kill.

t. 19K

Amazing tech, isn't it? Intimidating but not all that scary when you think it through.
Do you have a microwave? You're safe then.
Still waiting for these fuckers to give more details on their exoskeletons.

upper class scum think they're immune from it because they don't know how far behind robotics is compared to computing.

Technical desk jobs will be the first to go, if anything.

Do you know what a sigmoid curve is?

Nothing is exponential.

>that's what anti-tank mines are for.
as well as improvised claymores.

Tech is unironically ruining American society

good thing I'm skilled and not some low skilled monkey.

like I said, you're clearly a lower class scum and aren't able to adapt and deal with the rapid changes that are occurring and you're afraid because you're poor and stupid. it's fine. like I said, adapt or die. it's simple. we're not going back, technology is going to keep advancing, we're not going to stop progressing just because lower class scum are intimidated or scared by change.

muh muscles

It looks like the killer dog drone from that black mirror episode

>that would require impossible energy density.
unless you live in a planet with lower gravity/denser atmosphere

>said the lower class scum whilst on the internet shitposting on an eritrean line dancing forum

luddites need to be hanged desu

>"I made a lotta things, though; like a frog with a turkey neck."
>"It was the shit."

>so where's the hypersonic concorde?
Gonna show up right when Fusion does, user :^)

>One question, who controls it?
Probably nerds in bunkers or whatever, at first, but automation is always advancing, AI is always getting more sophisticated.
Remember; it doesn't have to be a truly sapient gAI in order to kick your door in and apprehend and/or neutralize target #whatever.
It just needs to be smart enough to do it's job; whether or not replicating human-level intelligence is possible is a non-issue, because the robots don't need to have self-awareness or abstract thought.

>Can it run through tangled up barbed wire?
If it's designed to, why not? Out of all possible problems, teaching them to cut barbed wired with some cutters isn't the hardest.
>Can the nerd reprogram it while I'm peeling his face off?
Depends on how many other killbots you have to deal with.

weaponized robots cool as fuck

Huh, the more you know. Though would that still hold true if said tank had significant speed when bulldozing through it?

>good thing I'm skilled and not some low skilled monkey.
what can you do that requires physical labor?

I'm not worried. I drive cars for a living. Automated cars hit a brick wall in terms of cost and development and they're not coming back from it. Sorry.

Every day the future is coming to look like a scfi film. When the west rising happens, it's gonna be an epic revolt with robots and stuff.

These are all bullshit PR videos, when its perfectly simulated like that they are being controlled by an operator. Go watch the DARPA robot challenge the AI is incredibly stupid and will take 10hrs to react.

Nothing fails like success

Which we do not.

>Gonna show up right when Fusion does, user :^)
Just 20 more years from the time someone mentions it!

>I'm not worried. I drive cars for a living. Automated cars hit a brick wall in terms of cost and development and they're not coming back from it. Sorry.
HE REALLY BELIEVES THIS HAHAHA

Honestly. I'm not sorry that you're job is going to be automated and you're going to have become useful for once in your life to survive. Honestly, sometimes I feel for lower class scum like you because you're so naive and oblivious.

>It has about the same ai capability as an oblivion npc.

Far from it. It learned how to open that door from scratch, and apply that knowledge to any door, anywhere. It was not programmed to in the traditional sense.

It's still a long way from intelligent, but it's a whole other paradigm from oblivion style AI of "If A, do B. C doesn't exist as far as you're concerned so don't worry about it".

So what's your physical labor backup skill? Handing over guns?

>spray sensor/camera
>watch robot walk in circles

Those are clams you silly fag.

No it cannot apply that to any door anywhere. It will have to completely re-learn it for every door.

Who cares about having a robot that runs for 20 minutes and opens doors? They already have buttons to open doors for the physically lame.

shoot the legs?
big blanket with adhesive/glue?

>Tries to spray camera
>Gets shot

you guys better watch out this guy has the biggest penis because he thinks his job matters. literally the most cucked person you can be in terms of human-robo relations

It is actually. You see that thing's head/claw thing? That's stabilised like a chicken's head (move the body, the head stays still in 3d space). Simply mount a gun to it instead of a claw and teach it how to shoot - which is no more complicated that it learning to open doors.

>wear clothing with weird shapes and colors
>the robot thinks you're a lamp post and keeps on walking.
allaboutcircuits.com/news/going-blind-physical-world-attacks-can-trick-autonomous-driving-systems/

drones...
Robots to kill robots, what could go wrong?

you live in the united states go watch one take its baby steps post proof

see:

Yes, and I know from experience. You get wire wrapped into a sprocket and you're out there with cutters for a good long time removing it. Tanks are not nearly as unstoppable as they're made out to be. They are also really bad on on ice or snow, will start sliding out of control easily.

you're just mad you can't shoot anything ever again.

>that's what anti-tank mines are for.
Well damn, I guess tanks are useless now. Oh wait...

again, having it be able to crush bone would be a simple design choice.

You never take tanks into a lot of situations because they can be easily countered by a lot of different things.

Until they start strapping remote controlled guns to them I think were ok for now

its an engineering marvel

Try that with 10 of them at the same time. Then they follow in with that Atlas monstrosity that does backflips with two arm mounted machine guns and you'll be singing a different song. Give it 10 more years look at how they've advanced in only a few.

it's a glorified aibo.

Nope. That's the entire point of this style of AI. It learns like we learn. In the same way that you have a reasonable idea of how to open any door you see, so does the bot.

They are trained like pets. Think of it as an intricately strung up puppet where pulling 1 string causes a chain reaction of more strings to be pulled based on the puppet's state. The overall behavior of the machine is like a ball dropping down a plinko game. It looks like the ball is making decisions, but it is just reactions to its surroundings as it is pulled by its command from gravity. Don't let them spook you too much because much of it is inspired by the sick minds of these pozzed "engineers".

What a tremendous waste of money.

You can still fool the sensors very easily.

No, that's not how it works. It cannot abstract.

Also the tanks in the US are in serious disrepair. Most won't even start. The armor on top and bottom is very thin. They are good for frontal attack, that's about it. Basically they're rolling coffins for their incompetent crewmen.

>No it cannot apply that to any door anywhere. It will have to completely re-learn it for every door.

That's literally not true. You know all those capchas you click? Broad similar principles here. These machines use machine learning to recognize "door" "handle" etc. Current AI is pretty good ar recognizing the content of most images. It can do the concept of door with ease.

you know how much larger those ais are compared to this small dog? is it remotely controlled? it's not hard to make signal jammers.

>be bong
>police are weak ass pansies
>still you live in a nightmare police state
>you are even more pansy than the cops and cannot own a metal spoon (need a special permit for a plastic security spoon)
>need to pay a license for TV
>need to pay a license to watch porn online
>need to pay a license to have arms (as in limbs not weapons)
>teeth considered a dangerous weapon, removed
>get stabbed by a paki

I'd get dogs and train them to run at them with backpacks full of explosives.

its a big nothing. that thing moves too clumsy and slow to ever be a threat to a person even if it were programmed to be a threat and wielded a gun. imagine all of the mental spatial and reactionary calculations a human brain makes in an instant a million times over during a simple fistfight. now imagine trying to “program” a robot to do that. im sure it can be done eventually but we’re a whole lot further off than some of you would like to believe. give the human brain and god a little credit where its due, we truly are amazing.

At least their navy is above water.

technology would be progressing even considerably faster if we werent forced to be weighed down by shitskins and women and help them to our detriment

and it wouldnt be used to our detriment if we werent ruled by kikes

They tried that in ww2. it did not work.

Fine just go directly to their youtube page and watch without reading some blowhards reaction to it. This is the Atlas robot. Can't you imagine that thing busting in your door followed by 10 of those little bastards?
