Is the current anime and manga industry structurally flawed to punish artistic innovation? What would an alternate model be which could allow for greater individual autonomy and creativity

are you trying to imply homunculus was innovative?

stop making anime adaptions of shitty mangas
manga industry is fine at this point

Every commercially-inclined entertainment medium punishes artistic innovation.

Fuck off.

no that's why it's in the OP post you dip

what if the japanese government took control of the industry? What if artistic minded patrons funded some good shit?

you dont even pay japanese taxes, why would you even care

No.

i technically am a japanese citizen in my heart

yes it is you dingdong

They do to a larger degree than most countries. They have laws to protect publishers and book prices.

it's gonna be a shit industry forever if it caters to people like us

Homunculus is the best manga ever written

Japan is at a cultural regress. Only if they accept western values of sexual purity and Christianity can they survive

No, that's YKK.

>muh robot waifu

please, you're embarrasing yourself. true patricians such as i study deep topics such as human psychology. Piss off roach

I know you're memeing right now, but do you really think japan's industry is even close to how terrible the western comic book industry is?

No, learn japanese and read many dozens of untranslated manga.

No it isn't you nignog.

What you meant to say was that true patricians enjoy works that focus on the impermanence of humanity and the transience of the world around us observed through the eyes of an un-ageing android and only through studying deep topics within Japanese aesthetics such as Wabi-Sabi can we learn to come to terms with our own impermanence and find the path to true happiness.

It is actually a good system and allows for more innovation than other systems.

The production committee system exists so that the risk is carried by multiple investors allowing for more risky projects to get funded.
It's not that artistic expression is punished but that the type of art you like is either unpopular or not financally viable even if the risk is spread through multiple investors.
Crunchyroll has started to directly invest into anime, but look in the anime they invested (Centaur's life, Isekei Shoudou(leads committee), Masamune kuns revenge)

>if the japanese government took control of the industry?
You want anime to turn into propaganda?
Art is subjectiv or judged through a certain framework. There are many frameworks that are idology based (it is art if it furthers idology x).
Complete goverment control is bad, but there has been support from the Japanese goverment for anime.
NHK has helped to finance anime like (Kyoukai no Rinne, Log Horizon, Sangatsu no Lion).
They also lead the committee for Dragon Dentist.

it was horrifying and forgettable. if it offers any reality based insight into mental unhealth and unrest then i would value it as a learning tool. but on the topic of artistic expression it does not break away from the authors status quo. fearmongering

Animeis not art. Anime is for children.

>Is the current anime and manga industry structurally flawed to punish artistic innovation?
Absolutely not you casual retard. Manga in particular is rife with unique stories of all sorts. There are manga that try to be artistic, manga that try and twist your expectations, and isekai garbage.
Anime is mostly to advertise manga/LNs/games so most mainstream anime won't be anything beyond that. But there are certainly a fare share of experimental anime (usually movies), and it's not like every anime original is the same shit. They tend to be the most unique and interesting series, whether they're good or bad.

Basically, watch more anime. Homunculus isn't even unique compared to other manga, both that were published around the same time as it and now.

They could self publish and be poor as shit.

Why do you guys keep on making this same thread even if you get BTFO every single time?
Is tumblr, youtube or something else that is compelling you?
