Funny, how we didn't learn about this Sheriff's Deputy bitching out until after Trump said we should arm teachers, isn't it? Now we learn suddenly there was more than one?
It's almost like it's either totally made up and everybody is lying to make the idea of arming teachers look silly, or the media has somehow overlooked a critical factor in the whole situation instead of reporting it, which is odd because you'd think they would JUMP on the chance to say a good guy with a gun did nothing.
Actually, better yet, what are the odds a Sheriff's Deputy would just happen to be there at that moment? It's almost like he was keeping an eye on the outside of the building. Why would he do that? What was he doing there?
Look at the timeline that was updated by Fox News as of 18 hours ago. Where do the Do-Nothing Deputies fit in? When did they arrive? How did Cruz slip in with other students so easily when exiting the building, and then how did he get off campus? Don't they take statements and corral the kids together? What did he do, just wander off? He didn't have a car, he couldn't drive away. According to this he was getting a drink at the Walmart Subway at 2:50 which was 3 minutes before the Deputies showed up.
According to the timeline, he was in by 2:21 and out by 2:28 which means about 5 minutes tops that he was actually shooting. Tops. One minute upon arrival and before departure I'd give at least for him to prepare each way, and accounting for movement.
So did the Deputies arrive between 2:21 and 2:28 or did they arrive after 2:53?

The deputies were there earlier from the first fire alarm in the morning during which David Hogg did his video interviews with the kids in closets. The shooting was supposed to occur then but Cruz showed up late. By the time he got to school and pulled the fire alarm and saw the dead bodies already there planted by covert ops team, he shat his pants and evacuated and the cops were just waiting for him.
Because honestly there are only a few possible, rational reasons for everything.
Why was he there? - Just happened to be in the neighborhood? He had to be very close to the school. Anymore than 4-5 miles out, and by the time he arrived the shooting would likely be over unless he was going faster than 90mph. In that case he and every other officer in the area would already know, and other units would likely have arrived before him.
How did he know to be there while the shooting was happening? - Dumb luck? By the time it was called in it was practically already over. Did he see the Uber drop off Cruz and become suspicious? Was he passing by and see the smoke? Picking up a relative? Was this a routine stop for him?
Why didn't he go in? - Was he a coward? Was he waiting for backup? Didn't want to make things worse? It wasn't a hostage situation so there was no point in staying outside to negotiate. Was he covering for the shooter?
