How come people consider MSG a classic and SAO garbage? It's like a shitty half-baked SAO prototype

How come people consider MSG a classic and SAO garbage? It's like a shitty half-baked SAO prototype
>some guy puts on a helmet and becomes the White Swordsman, he's not very skilled but his MC-kun status more than makes up for it making him able to kill tens of enemies effortlessly without getting even scratched. He's literally piloting mobile plot armor. The animation is paper-cutouts-moving-across-the-screen tier and there aren't even any cute girls

because it's old

SAO is bad but not as bad as people pretend. Also it does have cute girls.

sao is still relevant? Also guess which series has a fucking statue?

OP clearly didn't watch Gundam.
What a faggot.

Because people confused "having influence" with "bieng good". Basically, if something is old and had influence it must have been good becuase otherwise it wouldnt have influenced people, right?

>implying Amuro wasn't moe

weak bait

It's pretty decent though.

This.

Char?

garbage art

>waifufags aren't the cancer killing the anime industry
can't believe Sup Forums lied to me

Sometimes, but style has changed over time and I don't mind all of it now.

>How come people consider MSG a classic and SAO garbage?

People considered 0079 hot garbage back in the 80s and unlike Ideon, it never got a rerun that finished everything.
The series exists because it has the best toys ever created by mankind, contested maybe by LEGO and even that is rather dubious. The shows are just Tomino garbage running more on potential than execution.

Minerva > Matilda > Frau > Miharu > Lalah > Sayla > Mirai > Kycilia

good taste

Because SAO is actually 90% moe/harem garbage and only 10% actual isekai

n-n-nuh uh, sh-shut up faggot. Y-youtube t-told me it w-was awful.

Because finding similarities between two stories isn't enough to criticize it.

I fail to see why people call it a harem. The group as a whole barely interact until mid-way through the second season and the dude has a canon girlfriend who he ends up marrying (in a game, but still). I always thought harems were more defined by catfighting gags and constant cockteasing about who the MC will end up with, not a canon relationship with a bunch of side bitches.

>side bitches

SAO is garbage because the protagonist is a black hole for supporting character depth. everyone becomes more and more of a one note caricature the more they hang out with him

A bunch of girls all liking MC making virgins feel good about themselves is a harem.

This
The problem of most harems basically: the girls lose their personality once they meet the MC and become extremely shallow characters that can do nothing but talk and think about MC's dick.

Imagine being underage like OP.

MSG was a revolution back in the day and invented/implemented/perfected some tropes. And it was an original story.
