How the fuck is racism towards whites so acceptable today? I’m not looking to play the victim card, but god damn this shit is frustrating. When is enough, enough? I was so tempted to correct them and tell them that it was Jewish Merchant ships that bought slaves and imported them to America for trade, but instead stayed silent because I work for Jews who are actually pretty darn good people.

The racist part is when he says 'what they do best'. It implies that whites have contributed nothing if value to these populations. Once upon a time we brought chains and disease, but we also bring technology and cultural improvments. It is as racist as me saying 'then the black people do what they do best... rape and murder each other.' This is also a truth that can be diserned through pattern recognition but if I said this in good company (or at work) I would be considered racist. In most white majority countries, it's almost impossible to be truly racist to a white person. Sure, you may get isolated cases of some black kids making fun of a white person, but in general it doesn't exist. That's why reverse racism is a stupid meme term. A major factor in racism are the power structures involved, implementing authority and control over the disadvantaged minorities is the major issue with racism. That just doesn't happen to white people 99% of the time. So, if you say to a black dude something along the lines of he doesn't have proper parental guidance coz his dad spent his life in prison - that shit can hurt coz it can be true for them personally, but also because it's true for a large portion of the black community. And a large reason it's true is because of how black people are treated in the criminal justice system (yes even after taking into account their increased crime-rate), Jim Crow laws, slavery yada-yada. But an off-handed comment about white people means fuck all. Like in your case OP, all you should think is: "yeah, white people sure did spread disease and enslave people in the past".
