The mods think template threads are the problem and not the symptom of a different problem which ironically is too much moderation.
When anything with an ounce of spontaneity or originality sticks out, gets flagged, and gets deleted/results in bans, people are increasingly going to make bland, cookie-cutter threads that don't get deleted.
Eventually, all you're left with is template threads. Then the mods freak out and ban template threads. It's as though they have literally zero idea how forums or internet communities work.

How are sadpanda threads template though. Its literally "sad panda thread" with a sad panda. They dont chain into other threads, a occassional, and are probably the most newfag unfriendly threads on Sup Forums. But that does remind me mods said they wanted to cater to newfags and get rid of "elitist" mentality.

I think they're starting to figure it out. Sticky's gone, lots of people have been calling them out lately, been seeing a little more ease on post deletion. We even had that hilarious nigger thread up for over 300 replies. Hopefully Sup Forums will start healing now.

discussion never works out on /h/, panda threads never go anywhere, and people on Sup Forums have always been more knowledgeable on the subject matter, just saying subject goes on x board doesn't caught it when mods on those boards spent years ignoring them and letting it's own culture take over, and then they have the gall to come over to boards that actually got their act together and tell them that their threads would be better somewhere else, it just blows my mind.

This is a well of porn easily digged up by anyone browsing for just some days. It just teaches newfags that you can masturbate here.
The mods who decided to ban sadpanda threads on Sup Forums is Troid (aka yournamehere on IRC) and Alternative. Troid was the same mod who banned people for posting images with slightly visible nipples. Actually, you know what, look up "Troid" in the archive for more information about him. You will laugh, trust me.
So why did these two particular mods ban sadpanda threads? Their autistic and subjective reason was that there's no anime and manga discussion. If you look in the archive for any sadpanda threads, you can quite literally see anons discussing doujins and manga that's on sadpanda. Right now, /h/ allows sadpanda threads but you can't talk about non hentai doujins and manga or ecchi doujins or manga and so on. As you can see, it's dumb and problematic.
Here's the most hilarious part to this dumb mess the mods have made. Mods allow buyfag threads on Sup Forums which has no manga or anime discussion whatsoever. Seriously, they have never discussed about anything. People in buyfag threads upload pictures of their toys or other toys and the mods allow it without giving a valid reason. This once again proves that the mods on Sup Forums are a bunch of autistic bipolar weirdos who decides things for subjective reasons instead of following the official Sup Forums rules. Everyone including their first unborn child knows that buyfag threads belong on /toys/.
I forgot to add, the two particular mods started banning sadpanda threads in late 2016.
At the least there's sadpanda's cookie protection in place. If newfags cant google it they dont get the porn. So id hope it encourages googling things thereon.
