>assumed to be meek & normal MC by people at his school is forced to show his true abilities and the double life he's been living
name one animation/manga where this happens.

Evangelion.

shinji remains the fag cuck throughout the series. where was his inflection point.

When he became a literal fag

>mangaka and his styles visibly ages from beginning to end

>MC is an alpha male

My favorite type as best seen in "Hagure Yuusha no Aesthetica" and to a lesser extent "Trinity Seven"

...

>"Don't you get it, MC? If you kill him, you'll be no better than he is!"
>kills him

>mc is actually handsome

shit mostly happens on shoujo manga, are mangaka not allowed to make mcs handsome or what

ah tsukune is like the most handsome harem mc

>closed-eye character gets serious
>his eyes stay closed

My brother of African descent.

I hate it

>when shit gets serious in a fight, the characters eyes start glowing and leaving light trails when they move

>pure fucking rage is a powerup

Underated post

>Two characters land a finishing blow on each other at the same time
>Both stay in the same pose after getting hit as they just stare at each other/pant heavily
>One suddenly falls to the ground and the other one wins

Code Geass

>When the manga/anime isn't based on some shitty VN where there are multiple routes for multiple heroines and the MC is a bland self-insert for you.

>when it's set in anything but high school

>When the manga/anime isn't based on some shitty VN where there are multiple routes for multiple heroines and the MC is a bland self-insert for you.

Wow thats some PTSD right there

>and your OTHER gun

>Love interest has superhuman strength for no reason
>MC genuinely loves his mundane life
>Characters dance in the OP/ED
>Characters sing the OP/ED
>Characters doing mundane stuff seriously

Kuroko no Basket?

There are so few of these, why must the japs have poor taste

>berserk
>end

>MC pretends to be weaker than the main girl

Gantz

Doubt it. He's right, it's extremely obvious when an anime or manga is trying to mimic the feeling of a multi-path vn.
There's plots that just end or are forgotten, characters reset halfway through the show, the mc never, ever learns from anything or develops anything at all.

name one (1) series that does this

Trigun

you mean the episode where the town was slaughtered by that one guy and he was fucking pissed?

>shit gets so real it spills over into the OP/ED

Up until Maryl actually acknowledges Vash as Vash the Stampede.

I love the fact that nobody even mentioned that Kiyoshi is still a beta cuck

Dragonball Z when Gohan turned SS after Videl got shit on

if MC is handsome it becomes harder to self-insert and sympathize with his struggles, he fails to be the underdog

Kamisama Dolls? I mean you think the guy is nice beta male til about episode 3-4 when the bad guy shows up and tears that nice guy mask away..

I really like the pic related, I dont know what it is about his videos but I really like em

Full Metal Panic

Why don't you show his current appearance? It's pretty amazing how fucked his art became.

Sounds just like Greninja getting BTFO from that strong ass BUURASTO BAAN.

Kiyoshi didn't become an alpha, he just went insane.

>Isekai MC pretends to be weak to fool an arrogant enemy who underestimates MC
>Isekai MC then proceeds to curbstomp the arrogant fool with his overpowered cheats

Jitsuryouku Shijou is shaping up to be this. Currently one or two other students know/suspect there's more to him, but it's likely going to have to be revealed to everyone else by the end.

...

Z-Zone!

Hello?

>episode ends on a serious dramatic game-changing moment
>cut to happy cute ED

>when the character that has been hyped up for years does deliver

But Kiyoshi is still a turbo beta.

Quality.

>When MC powerups for a reason and kicks ass
I do dislike Fairytail type of shit where nobody ever dies

>Rival is leagues better then the mc and fights for the other side due to circumstances and beliefs for the best
>MC powers up, uncovers """evil""" from the enemy.
>Rival still fights on par with him but ultimately switches sides once MC proves that he achieved what rival couldn't.

>chaotic neutral character poses as a comic relief
>Actually secretly manipulating/aiding/testing MC for his own goals.

>mc is a dickhead
>you idolize him anyway

>old people being overpowered and everybody knows it

but that's bad user, especially what virgin soul did

oh

>goofy/scummy character gets real and surprisingly wise when it matters

Literally every chink wn

Saki was too good at this

MC corruption

>Idiots exploiting each other for their own gain or just amusement

Punch catch, nothing says "you ain't shit" better than that.

MC bullshits his way to winning a fight against a superior foe.

When the MC cuts through a monologue with a sword

This

This is god tier

>character thought to be dead comes back in everyone's time of need one last time

wish-fulfillment at its worst

>Volume/chapter starts with a quote that you understand only after reading the volume/chapter

>>MC goes from a beta cuck to alpha male
I hate that one.

Two characters reciting the attack spell together, especially if they're former enemies.

>When MC powerups for a reason and kicks ass
H i g h s c h o o l D x D

>redeemed former enemy saves everyone at the end

>MC and rival ally actually have a final fight to settle things

>Serious moment happens
>Accompanying soundtrack to the scene replaces the usual jingle of the midway cut

>generic hero characters who push their story forward with pure excitement, inspiration and GAR
I can't help it.

>MC meets characters from his past that lead him on a short adventure only to show they havent changed and are still shit heads

Samurai champloo

HAPPY PEOPLE IN DA HOUSE!

>MC constantly holds back and keeps mentioning it

>isekai MC pretends to be weak because he just wants a goddamn break
>turns out he got deified 500 years ago and his return would massively fuck up society
>makes an alter ego that pretends to be a servant of his past self so he can do ridiculous shit without being called on it

>I can't hear the fireworks

Shit trope

COME ON CLANNAD, ONE THING!

>occasional slow paced episodes in fast paced shows

Because they're the love interests. The FeMC is usually "plain", just as often as she is beautiful.

>ED starts playing, but the episode is still going

If Helck ever gets an anime, there's going to be a lot of those.

>Where does the seat of senses lie?

>MCs that are fucking scum but you still love them for their charisma.

Is this a thing?

>mech is absolutely trashed, turns off
>pilot begs it to move and screams its name
>it comes back to life, preferably with SFX and eyes glinting

Pretty much every fedoracore romcom to grace us recently.

Stupid post, probably not even bait

>isekai
And dropped

>beta cuck
>alpha male
