The whole idea Sounds very national socialist to me: large (((corporations))) are allowed to operate for profit, but heavily taxed in order to benefit the nation. As it is our governments do nothing to fight back against them.
Have you all been brainwashed too much to realize there’s literally no need to work so much in 2018?
Chase Long
I would 100% rather have access to my own metadata and reparations from profits gained from my metadata than this
Sebastian White
Year by year the UBI payments are less and less, the prices of everything is more and more. The men in washington work as hard as they can to trim the fat. I can't find a job because I've been out of work for 10 years and now there is barely any work to be had. Now the socialist government, as they are known to do, is collapsing. I'm trapped.
Also, in order for UBI to work and prevent inflation, prices must be firmly set. That means that only basics can be purchased with UBI, luxury goods cannot. But why even use money? Now the government wants to try a new plan to just ship us bags of rice and govt cheese directly. I would vote but I don't have a job so I'm not allowed to.
Owen Rodriguez
we just want UBI for white people only
Camden Wood
they just wont operate in your country
Easton Cox
>Why is Sup Forums so against basic income?
You're the first one to bring to UBI. Because you're trying to backdoor Communism. Please fuck off with your Communism.
Alexander Sanders
Bullshit, if the market is big enough they will. Look at China- they shakedown businesses all the time and they still flock there.
Christopher Perry
If the economy has the technological capability to support communism (AI, etc) then there is no reason not to implement except for greed like yours.
David Barnes
Sup Forums is full of capitalist chode suckers.
Samuel Anderson
he said BI not UBI, learn the difference.
Angel King
Instead of another government program, why not just lower my taxes by Universal Basic Income amount? Why is the left so against this, but not against another gibs program?
Easton Garcia
Folks this is simply socialism. Socialists are constantly re-tooling their message to try and fool people.
Grayson Bell
Their is literally nothing wrong with socialism. Stop pretending you’re a millionaire.
Evan Sullivan
Because it's communism. Pure communism. How many times do we have to explain this to you idiots?
Eli Peterson
It's not like anyone is against it as a world to strive for.
It's that right fucking now the idea is completely out of reach. Say Germany introduced basic income. And now every german business has to pay through their nose to fund it because basic income is funded by tax money. What do they do? They move to Poland because now the cost of labour in Poland is 1000x cheaper because welfare in Poland practically doesn't exist so you don't have to pay for basic income and keep the profits to yourself.
Basic income could only exist in a global government under a global economy where everyone on the planet has roughly the same living standard and lives under the same laws
Corporations do fucking everything RIGHT NOW to avoid paying taxes. What makes you think they're going to oblige paying taxes that fund basic income?
Colton Garcia
Everything about socialism is wrong. Stop deluding yourself.
Aaron Sanchez
Problem solves itself because every country adopts basic income then
>shilling for corporations and the rich
Dominic Nelson
UBI is retarded. Who the fuck is giving the money if everyone receives it. For argument's sake, let's say it's $2k a month, 24k a year. You take 2k away from the top and give 2k back to each one. Where does the money come from to give those with less than 2k a month that money?
>you tax the rich more
And then you end up with simply another welfare scheme, except one that's huge compared to all previous ones, no other single welfare scheme has sought to give each person in the nation 2k a month. This whole UBI thing is simply a very slippery way for larger, much larger socialist government to invade your lives and control more of your wealth until you are left in a situation where you can't imagine life without the state, your only questions will be "without the government, who will give us cars, money, food, land, houses etc. Etc."
Justin Harris
Large corporations that don't pay taxes in your country should straight out be kicked out and banned from operating. Moreso when those corporations are CIA in disguise. Basic income is the biggest sabotage to a country economy's only behind banning physical money.
Blake Ross
>Problem solves itself because every country adopts basic income then Yeah I can't wait to see starved 3rd world shitholes like Zimbabwe that encompass 70% of the worlds population to jump on the idea. These countries are unable to form even the most basic welfare system that would guarantee you not dying from starvation when you get old enough to not be able to work. How on earth do you think it would be possible for them to set up a system of basic income?
Noah Russell
>Theft is okay Kill yourself
Isaac Lewis
>UK > Pay Ahmed the Terrorist and Motumumbo the Somali Refugee free money to sit around breeding. As if they don't already have 10 kids each.
No thanks.
Juan Sanders
>businesses aren’t exploiting you for your labor
Hmmmmm
Jayden Butler
because it isn't meritocracy
Kayden Bell
The money isn't the problem. As a state you just print more or do some fractional black magic jewish banking and boom the money is there. It's kindergarten level economic thinking (why don't we just print the poor some money) but that's what we're doing.
The problem is the detachment of money from value and the increasing time preference of the masses. This poisonous attitude of the left that a chosen few can carry the rest of humanity is a rapidly killing western civilization.
Jonathan Price
>implying we have a meritocracy today
Hudson Young
Funny how right wingers praise their chosen few Übermenschen to justify “natural” inequality amongst humans but recoil at those super humans doing anything to benefit their fellow man or any kind of noblesse oblige. I guess they suddenly lose their powers when they aren’t rhetorical devices to justify your power?
Jose Clark
China is over a billion. UK is 65million. What makea you think the market is big enough?
Robert Murphy
>why dont you just rely on the government and their corporate goons to stay alive
Lincoln Diaz
Businesses can exploit because of the state not despite it you mongoloid. How the fuck is a business gonna exploit me without coercion?
Or are you still at that toddler level mentality of "why does everything cost money :(". I can buy a bottle of wine for 2 euros 100m from my house. How much would it cost me to make it myself? That's called division of labor. I do what I'm good at, you do what you're good at. Everyone benefits. If you're not good at anything you get to work at micky D's.
But nah I guess it's my fault that you're not good at anything let me just pay out of my pocket for your worthless life.
Jaxon Morales
It does sound nat social but most of pol isn’t nat social children
Jaxson Myers
Is your scizo playing up? I never said any of those things
Kevin Torres
Right wingers frequently justify inequality on the basis of “natural” differences like intelligence and claim that only a few people actually drive or benefit humanity, but for some reason they’re totally incapable of any Noblesse oblige. Think John Galt- alpha male Great Man who is somehow incapable of setting up a charity or paying some taxes.
Justin Taylor
We're all pro-basic income, but the thing is it's not financially viable and further advantages niggers et al to fuck up our countries. Of course with the world in its current state, we'd all rather be neets than have to work.
Jack Gutierrez
lol, pay for UBI with tax that is ultimately made from ads and metadata. It could be cool to see the market get oversaturated and break while everyone so high on the hog.
Anthony Scott
it's just ameritards who thinks it means communism
Levi Parker
see the need for metadata go from a huge history spanning volume into a trickle, ad blockers become highly illegal, clockwork orange eye spanners forced to watch ads for the hungry kids
Jaxson Brooks
Why does anyone need to justify inequality? Usain bolt is the fastest man, should we cut off his legs? I guess so.
Ayden Flores
Can you lose the right to the UBI, what are the living standards, is there class mobility, does this further power monopoly companies?
Bentley Reed
Niggers
Carson Wright
Silly man you don't think they actually thought this through did you? It's the platitude of the month. Just like "everyone deserves a liveable wage" and "healthcare is a right". Don't ask questions or you're voting against your own interest again.
Xavier Walker
Why don’t you want >10x10 apartment >1600 calories a day of soy >VR porn >a cat
Colton Watson
He’s a nigger so idc
Alexander Allen
Because nobody has proposed a version that makes any economic sense at all.
Simple question: What is the correct level of UBI, and how did you arrive at that figure? Include how it relates to existing welfare and minimum wage.
You're spending more time arguing with people who aren't here than building your proposal.
Owen Ramirez
>everyone gets basic income >prices skyrocket >tfw your basic income is barley enough for one trip to the grocery store >tfw you regular wage is just as worthless
I mean sure if we can ensure people dont get jewed to hell buy it then sure
Zachary Foster
I just think it means >no kids >no wife >just porn >dying alone
Leo Sanders
>people who work hard get penalized, forced to take care of lazy fucks who just want to live off of free shit >fair yeah nah
Robert Kelly
This already happens as whites have to pay for niggers and Hispanics
Austin Sanders
I support basic income. The idea was invented by great capitalist economist Milton Friedman
Grayson Martin
what do you think OP is

Parker Adams
>I would vote but I don't have a job so I'm not allowed to. I think you might be too stupid to work or vote, user.
Parker Turner
Because meritocracy is required for a nation to be successful. Just look at the DDR/USSR to see what happens when people dont give a fuck about their work because they will get the same no matter if they did their job good or got drunk and slept in some backroom.
>As it is our governments do nothing to fight back against them. This has nothing to do with basic income and basic income wont change that, instead the only people willing to work will get taxed even harder. The source of this problem is corrupt governments and uncontrolled lobbying.
Nolan Wright
Rather just keep my taxes.
Matthew Cox
>Just look at the DDR/USSR to see what happens when people dont give a fuck about their work because they will get the same no matter if they did their job good or got drunk and slept in some backroom. Well that's literally what's happening right now everywhere the world over. Try hard and you get fired. Get drunk in the backroom and you get raises every 5 years.
Brandon Roberts
Why should I, as a business owner, be forced to incur heavy, disproportionate taxation which will substantially increase my overhead costs - hurting my business and forcing me to lay off employees or close branches of my business - in order to subsidize the lifestyles of people who can't or won't work?
Tyler Rivera
65 fucking millions people doesn't sound like a lot to you?
Owen Mitchell
Or you could stop paying yourself over 1000x more than your next highest-paid employee.
Jack Richardson
If I recieved free moneys i would definitely not work. Not a good idea in my opinion. Id go and be autisitc in the woods.
Nolan Perez
Nonsense that would be literal communism. He earned that right with his visionary outsourcing strategy
James Johnson
What if I told you the point of life was work to live and not vice versa
Jaxson Nguyen
Nothing wrong with that. Besides his question is why he should be practically paying wages to people who don't work for him.
Dylan Evans
It's completely wrong because it comes at the cost of not paying his employees and not improving the product or service. If it didn't it would be another story. Nothing wrong with paying himself 10x more than the next highest-paid employee that's not part of the chief staff. But 1000x is bullshit and that value is increasing year on year despite all products and services going to shit worldwide and costs increasing allthewhile. Wages, meanwhile, are completely stagnant.
Of course it's also wrong that they're taxed to help people who don't work at all, let alone don't work for them, but it's not actually a business cost since they have way beyond the funds to whether this for free. They just have to not pay themselves a billion in bonuses that year on top of their salary.
Easton Myers
I presume his employees are paid a fair wage. Were they not, they have the options of negotiating one, begrudgingly doing nothing or leaving. Now he could expand his business by using that 1000x wage to increase production capacity, service capacity and hiring more workers, but if there's no market demand to meet, you'd just be cutting your profits.
You can't decide for him what his wage should be without knowing the market dynamics of his particular industrial sector. That said, I'd park it on the Isle of Man instead, but I'm not him or his business.
Angel Lee
>Pay yourself 1000x more than next in line >Competition comes in, pays himself only 999x as much >Is able to offer same product at lower price >Process repeats until wage is "fair", that is, the product is priced at a price that consumers are willing to pay and producers are willing to sell the product for Wow magic

So apparently no one in America can make a profit if they pay their CEOs less than 325x the average worker, because that’s what the average figure is today
Alexander Fisher
>I would vote but I don't have a job so I'm not allowed to.
It doesn't work like that user.
>t. Out of work for the last year becuase grandmother broke her leg and couldn't afford a live in nurse
Kevin Roberts
Most developed countries already have a basic income scheme through bureaucratic measures. It would be only beneficial to replace them with a proper basic income just for the welfare trap alone. But idiots think it would be some sort of evil socialist slippery slope tactics even when nobody would get anything more from the government than before. The sad thing is we are at the moment in effect paying more taxes for moralism's sake instead of saving money on bureaucracy and creating more flexibility to the job market.
