Which of these English sentences is wrong?

Which of these English sentences is wrong?

3 and 4

/thread

3 isn't wrong. "I well remember" is legit English syntax. 4 is the answer.

4 only

>the day on which
Literally what?

"Please tell me that all you know" is an unfinished sentence

"please inform me about the information you have user" is the correct version of this sentence. You wouldn't know because you're too busy reading the subtitles you autist

That's also correct.

Who cares?

still correct

only 4 is wrong.

3 is fine, people will think you're being a smarmy asshole but it's legit.

>Please kindly learn Japanese to death
Well, when you put it that way

3 is awkwardly worded but a legit sentence. 4 is the only wrong one due to being a fragment.

Plus Ultra

I've never heard "I well remember" before and can't think of any other words you could substitute well for that don't sound wrong. "I remember well" is valid.

If you switch "that" and "all" around, it becomes a complete sentence.

The first one is also wrong, there's an article missing.

It's valid. Old timey and uppity, but valid.

Because "I well remember" is going back a bit. Even upper class Americans spoke like this for a little while back in the day.

No, 3 is wrong. The "both" is extra unless there's an object.

It's grammatically correct. Just not stylistically clean.

I don't think you need the "the" before "most."

I wish ESLs would leave already.

Four is definitely wrong, three sounds very awkward but might technically be grammatically correct. Also, no one uses whom anymore.

Reminder that english has no real grammatical structure and a normal sentence could be form in more than 10 different ways and still be valid.

so UA is a high school but this class must be an advanced foreign language course, right
show of hands how many people reading this thread couldn't even answer this without thinking for a hot second, me included

The first one

>Fucking non-Americans get out REEEEEEEE

There are about 1000 ways to form a sentence incorrectly for every 10 correct ways. What the fuck is your point?

Is 2 wrong?

1 3 and 4 are wrong.

Only because 4 has two words swapped, so I had to double check it before I noticed.

Idk. I'm too distracted by the sexy Octopusman.

kek

people use whom when they want to sound fancy, same as when they spell words like armour or favourite or colour.

false flag ESL please go

>same as when they spell words like armour or favourite or colour.

yes, those are archaic and incorrect spellings for American English. Every single one was marked as incorrect when I typed it.

Do you... Do you really think american english accounts for anything? Wow.

It accounts for a hell of a lot on an American site like Sup Forums my friend.

>American English
That would be the wrong kind of English then?

>no one uses whom anymore
USA USA USA

Fucking burgers

Your english is shit and I'm an ESL. It better be your third language, nigga.

1 is incorrect

This is an American site, American English is the default for here.
If you hate Americans so much, you are free to fuck off and not use a site hosted and created in America.

>American site like Sup Forums

"I well remember" is legitimate english, but it's a fairly archaic phrasing that breaks how english is supposed to structure sentences and so that wouldn't be used in a japanese english lesson even as a trick question.

Of course I don't know how todoroki makes it through the class, "1 is wrong, and also 1 is wrong"

Not how it works.

God bless this mess.

...

It is my friend, shitposting won't change the origins or hosting of the site
it is how it works. It's a site created by an American, that centers around American and Japanese culture, hosted in America. It's completely illogical to come in to the site and bitch and moan about how much you hate Americans on it. You are free to use any site you want that's not hosted in this country, but continuing to come here and bitch about the site is like buying a black coffee and then complaining about how bitter it is the entire time you're drinking it. If you hate it that much, then just stop.
same

>American site
>Owned by a Jap

>Founded by an American
>hosted in Dallas
>moderated by Americans
>not an American site

>Hate
Who even said anything about hate? You're just projecting on the fact that you're wrong or just a Sup Forums shill trying to derail this thread.

How is he wrong?

Gook moot or Goot, as I call him, is alright. I was worried but his head is in the write plaza. The mods he has hired and pays though, are awful. Deleting on topic threads and tertiary threads that encapsulate the culture of their host board, cause it hurts their fee fees, the bunch of baguettes.

I miss the days when only gore and porn got you banned and Accel-kun bombed naruto threads. Those were the best years.

how about the fact that you started to shit up a thread because someone dared to mention American English grammar and spelling.
If something as simple as that sets you off, I think you need to seriously get help user, skin that thin isn't healthy

>show of hands how many people reading this thread couldn't even answer this without thinking for a hot second, me included
What the fuck even was the question?

I think the trolling about "colour" and "armour" by the americunt kicked off this particular shitfest, user.

You can't call thin skin on anyone when you're replying to every post with such damage control over your own short-sighted understanding of the english language.

>I don't use it therefore is just for morons to pretend they're smart
How old are you? 15?

The first sentence is wrong. I don't respect my father at all.

do you not understand the concept of American English? it's a different dialect with different spellings. All of those spellings along with words like whom are archaic in that form of English and have no place in common day to day use, in addition to being incorrect in many situations.

go back to fucking Sup Forums if you want to start an internet fight just because your thin skinned ass got triggered by someone mentioned proper English in a different dialect than you use.

>I have a cock.

Yep, you're definitely underage.

>The mods he has hired and pays
>pays
>>>/j/
Caught you, ' 'prestige' ' agitator

>words like whom are archaic
Underage and uneducated, too.

If America is so great, why are americans the laughing stock of the world?
Checkmate.

...

All those sentences are grammatically fine in English.

4 isnt

4 would be correct if the order of words wasn't swapped. You read it too fast

Japan is rightful American clay.

220 million native American English speakers vs the entire population of the UK at approx 66 million, so yes I'd say American English accounts for a lot of English spoken in the world.

>native speakers
So your language is completely irrelevant before Chinese and Spanish, is what you're saying?

British English is the standard taught in schools all around the world, user.
A lot of people learn spoken American instead of spoken British, but the grammar and all things associated with stuff outside of writing will always heavily favor British standards.

>it's atrocious

>i have never interacted with anyone outside my family

"whom" is used a lot in legal documents, tons of businessmen also use it.

...

Dammit, I laughed

When I worked in Japan, there were conversation schools that would make a point if they taught American or British/Commonwealth English, so it counts for something.

Accel-kun was banned constantly, he just had a million proxies. Also he spammed every thread and spammed the board with new threads. I think it was his predecessor, wikisammer, who kept to Naruto/Bleach/Wan piss threads, but everyone used to shitpost in those threads anyway.

Wikispammer was way better than Accelspammer. I learned a lot in those threads.

Also you had Gorespammer in Bakemonogatari threads, but his reign was short lived.
