Our laws are based on blood especially that of the mother. If your mother is Danish then you have a right to Danish citizenship. If your father is Danish then you have to prove that you the child is closer to him and Denmark than the mother. Our problem is that the Turks who got here in the 1980s did not create a lot of problems. They slowly gained citizenship and had to abandon their Turkish (dual citizenship was not allowed until around 2010). So when they got children the children could only get Danish citizenship as Turkey would not give them Turkish. And since Denmark have signed all the stupid UN crap about "statelessness" we had to give it too them. Now these 2nd and 3rd generation immigrants are draining our system and we cant get rid of them.
