Is it related to Sup Forums paper money?
One has a terribly mistranslated title. None of you uncultured fags will catch it.
I've read Homer, meditations, Brothers K & Anna
Only thing really worth reading of those is Anna
Brothers K is nice if you're catholic or aspiring to be one, but it didn't do much for me
Homer's pretty rad for such old books, but ultimately quite boring
Instead of Aurelius' confessions, I recommend Pessoa or Montaigne (or Yourcenar, though that's a fictitious memoire)
Common denominator is the element of dullness in that heap, even Anna can get quite lengthy at times.
shit's boring, senpai
>Catholic
>Not just following the Bible as it is without any need for external books
Uh oh
Books are for nerds
Catholic is the best edition because it includes all the main books. You don't have to be a Catholic to read it.
Enlighten this uncultured brainlet pls
wtf is a Sup Forums chair
Look closely at the chair.
Virtue-signalling as hard as any SJW leftist commie.
this
optics are everything
nerds = knowledge about fiction
geeks = knowledge about irl
dont be an autist
be a geek
good selection, missing war and peace
What does reading any of these big brain books actually do for you? How will these books affect your life?
go back to lit
What books would be missing?
shut up, nerd
If you're going to divide those terms, it's usually the opposite way around.
Scientists are nerdy.
Comic book fans are geeky.
The potatonigger got it right.
The iliad was probably the coolest book I've read considering how old it is.
It rivaled the fantasy books I read in high school, mostly dragonlance. It really captured some epic battles where gods join in on the killing and heroes strong enough to lift giant boulders.
>reading
lol
This is the usa and we have audible, people read to us, you britbong savage.
Top left
Three of those books have never been opened
Poseur
Maybe it is the first one, also published as "Notes from the Dead House"
Why so much of Dostoevsky? What's the point?
"the brothers karamazov" is the correct translation of the title you fucking retard
An entire waste of time.
He bought them all second hand.
Fiction is gay. I prefer books on sociology or history.
either read the bible in kjv or the hebrew version(though most people don't know it), anything else is retarded.
Also there are better authors than Dostoyevsky, you've got Tolstoy which is good.
Read ivan ilych and war and peace.
Anything by dickins, shakespeare, orwell, tolstoy, melville will get you far.
gotta disagree
geeks become professional geeks, microdosing on lsd and writing beautiful code
nerds are basement dwelling neckbeards who cant apply shit to reality
t. professional geek
This popular book series is pretty red pilled.
people like this are part of the reason Europe has gone to such shit, lazy brainlets who think they are above reading the legacy of Europa
>beautiful code
NERD!
I have one advise for you lads. Don't waste your precious time reading russian literature. Without knowledge of history, mentality, culture and language you will get absolutely nothing from it. It will be like some surrealistic garbage for you. Read greeks & romans istead, and your own classic literature.
My nightstand
Only reason to read the entirety of the bible is to understand the last 1500 years of Western Literature. Start with that first and a lot of books and media make sense.
I have the Richmond Lattimore translations of The Iliad and The Odyssey

echo fuck you
goto 10
Smart people learn from books and improve their lives with the knowledge gained. I feel sorry for anyone who cannot take away the lessons written by a master and use it to change their inner life. That leads to external change.
>Don't waste your precious time reading russian literature. Without knowledge of history, mentality, culture and language you will get absolutely nothing from it
Ah but War and Peace was like reading history.
>It will be like some surrealistic garbage for you.
Crime and Punishment was a dark and disturbing but cathartic read.
fagcode=if fagcode = fagcode then

czechmate athiests
Geeks are autists
The Count of Monte Cristo is shit
He's needlessly verbose I fucking hate that book
And I loved all the Musketeer series
The Gambler from Dostoyevski is pretty good too
Martin is is cuck and it is reflected in half of the series. To your credit the other half is red pilled. Take it or leave it. I still enjoyed the series a great deal because I have a normal mental fortitude to resist influence unlike 90% of the dweebs on pol.

Get an ebook, use this site, and stop funding the publitorial jew
Great literature is the condensation of human nature into written form. You learn about yourself and humanity at large.
What's the best place to start with Dostoyevsky?
>meme classics
>fiction
keep reading..
I read a lot of classic literature (especially Roman), and also a lot of Russian literature and Russian (and orthodox) history. It is widely read among Europeans, nothing strange about it.
Do you still use samovars?
notes from underground, the dream of a ridiculous man;
I think the Gambler is alright fo getting into his wrriting, it's not too long and exposes you to some common topics on Dosto's work
Russia isn't from Mars bro.
