This is half true. Lebanese in Australia are split roughly evenly between Christians and Muslims (also with roughly equal numbers of Sunnis and Shiites).
Originally the government was only keen to let in Christians and Shiites in the 60s and 70s, but a cuckservative PM opened the floodgates in the early 80s to let in the Sunnis.
