They sacrificed Sumanai for Sieg and made everyone fall in love with him for no reason whatsoever

Its very existance

The LN is garbage too.
The OP song is only good thing that came out of the anime. It sounds amazing.

Based Priest is the only reason you should watch it.

It was satisfactory. Could've done with some more variety in the sound effects.

instead of the cool yakuza looking guy or the trap we got the autistic homonculus faggot, and trying to put too many characters on screen at once they should of just focused on a few people and moved through instead of trying to jam everything into one big orgy

as shirou no?

why is his name shiro

sieg and JACK IS A LOLI XD

Not enough Necromaster and Sword

Isn't this 2 cour? What do you meant what went wrong?

jack is the best part of the series

Why is it shit?

Pretty much everything. Apoc has a shit plot and a shit cast. People focus on Sieg, but even without him I think it'd still be bad.

A1 is hot garbage

Could Gil beat the whole Apocrypha cast by himself?

GoB, Ea. GG EZ

I dropped this when the dragon man ripped out his heart for some random guy he knew for 5 minutes

Tried to copy Fate/Zero and failed lol.

>let's copy garbage
>oh no it failed what a surprise

I just watch it for Astolfo.

Not even memeing, yeah, he can. Maybe he will need to get serious against Achilles and Karna though.

Your question is the strangest one to ask about in this situation.

Amakusa Totoshirou, that's the name of a failed Japanese saint who claimed to have preformed many miracles and tried to overthrow the governement, before being made an example of. In the end he was recordered only as an apocryphal saint, because a lot of shit he was claiming was a bit too absurd, like pretending to be jesus. Thus he was never canonized. Even he admits in Fate he's not a real saint, he's a charlatan who didn't realize he was a fake until he was already dead, he was just a magus.

The fact that he's named Shirou isn't strange since that is a real historical figure and that name isn't exclusive to sword autist; what's strange is everything else about him. Why he looks kinda like Archer, why he was named Kotomine. The answer for those questions are a long line of coincidences that kinda pile up strangely.

Fan service would be the easier explanation.

If he cared enough to, yeah. As far as I'm aware, though, no one in Apocrypha's Holy Grail War has a solid counter against him in the same vein as Avalon or Unlimited Blade Works. Karna has maybe a 30% chance of beating him straight up, though.

Push comes to shove, I'm sure Higeshide would have had Sieg pull something out of his ass to eke out a win.

the gay mc appears

Karna gets chained just like Hercules.(half sun god divinity)
He's not a real threat.

Oh bro, this is the sixth shit thread about Apo made by yourself in the last two days, and none of these shit threads has outstripped 50 posts.

Did you think nobody would notice?

Nah, it's said that Karna's one of the few Servants who has a legitimate chance at winning against Gilgamesh. It's nowhere near guaranteed, but he doesn't need an asspull to have a possibility of winning.

What? I just saw this shit show like a day ago.
Don't be accusing me of shit faggot.

Shirou was an interesting character, unfortunately, Sieg wasn't.

Wait, which Shirou? This shit's confusing.

The real answer is to bait-and-switch people by making them think it was Shirou adopted by Kotomine after the Fuyuki fire instead of Kiritsugu. I remember how everyone was shitting at the possibility back when Apocrypha was a brand new thing. I also remember everyone shitting their pants of excitement because of Sieg, Achilles, and Karna because of Indian Powerlevels. Good times, we were ignorant of what was to come back then.

Oh, for clarification, by Sieg here I'm referring to Siegfried. Imagine people actually thinking Siegfried would be a cool character instead of thinking of him as nothing but sumanai memes.

Who's better, Mash or Sieg? They're basically the same archetype handled by different authors, with Mash being Nasu's Sieg.

In Extella Karna said himself that he and his team has a 50% chance of beating Gil at best.

To be honest, Apo has the worst kinds of shitposters.
In addition to the lack of creativity, all of them are extremely repetitive and bland.

That's as a team, though. Well, if they all ganged up on him, I think they could stand a chance.

Though at that point, it's possible that Gilgamesh just might actually take them seriously.

>In addition to the lack of creativity, all of them are extremely repetitive and bland.
Just like Apocrypha!

Someone mind giving me a tl;dr of what's going to happen in the second half?

Mashu is an actual character with a proper backstory and also develops and grows alongside the plot goes, so obviously her.

DRAGON DICK happens.

Fou's sacrifice was handled a million times better than Sumanai's.

What is Higashide actually GOOD at? Because, if I'm being honest, a lot of the time he just feels like a worse Nasu.

Mash is just a Muh character (MUH MC dick) and waifu material like Jeanne

>In addition to the lack of creativity, all of them are extremely repetitive and bland.
What did you expect?
The majority of them are secondary redditors and fgofags.

Fuck off.

Nothing. It's just butthurt LN fags constantly bitching about things that haven't happened. Sup Forums being a bunch of sheeple just copies them like parrots for no reason just like op.

Yeah probably. I could only see Karna giving him problems considering Extra.

Gil is 2/3 god, his attacks completely bypass Achilles' immortality.

What was the point of no return?

HYDRA fighting a Holy Grail War

He probably would have beaten Gil in Extra if he didn't give away to his master his armor of invincibility.

Adding Karna, who in his myth can defeat 720,000 warriors at once, into a Grail War.

>failed Japanese saint
>failed
Only a failure in that the vatican never canonized him. The Japs still see him as a saint.

>Totoshirou

You mean Tokisada?

I doubt it.

Negating 90% of an attack sounds awesome on paper, but 10% of Enuma Elish could still probably kill you.

>sumanai
When the last LN's volume was launched in December 28, 2014, this FGO secondary meme didn't even exist.

>who in his myth can defeat 720,000 warriors at once
anyone with anti army bullshit can do that.
It's not an impressive feat in fate of all things.

They made a character that had all of Shirou's bad traits but none of his flaws.

The selection of Servants while noteworthy, do not play off each other well. Karna was utterly squandered in this as just "a really strong guy." The Human characters weren't compelling. Jack the Ripper was blatant pandering even more than Arturia.

It lacked character growth for any of the characters. Sieg literally starts at 0 at the start of the story, decides he wants to live, decides he wants to fight and then fucks off as a dragon. What kind of shitty character arc is that? Compare it to Shirou, who either devotes his life to self destructive ideal that will consume him, lead him to eternal peace only after an eternity of suffering, or he'll be forced to abandon to mature as a person

it wasn`t written by kinoko nasu thats what happened, fate doesn`t work if its not written by him, hell type/moon doesn`t work if he doesn`t write

Hell, Cu Chulainn did it constantly with his "1VS1 me faget" runes.

Sieg. Also, not depicting the fights more accurately. I dropped the series when I saw that Siegfried was fighting on par against Karna.

You really didn't understand Shirou's character arcs at all in F/sn, did you? People who label the ideal as a negative and Heaven's Feel True as the sole positive seem to have an absurdly black-and-white view of things.

>Gil is 2/3 god, his attacks completely bypass Achilles' immortality
His slow ass still has to deal with Achilles speed.
And seeing as speed was a large contributor to his downfall against Shirou you gotta wonder.

It's not adding Karna that was the problem. It was adding Karna without giving him anyone to work with. Karna is a hero who THRIVES on tragedy. His own legend is one of the most tragic. It's why he worked in CCC, because he had a master so tragic and such a failure it fit him to a T. Karna needs a colossal fuckup to champion to be interesting, because that's where all his good and bad traits are demonstrated. Without one, he's just a STRONG GUY TM

It wasn't just speed. That was never the point. The point isn't that Shirou outspeeds Gilgamesh, it's that Unlimited Blade Works outspeeds Gate of Babylon specifically. You're not gonna beat him just by being faster than him. The important thing is negating GoB, not Gilgamesh.

Fate/stay night is basically just really bad fanfiction, Shirou is the worst Gary Stu in recent memory and I couldn't give less of a shit about Saber's objective

The only redeeming quality is fanservice.

>I dropped the series when I saw that Siegfried was fighting on par against Karna
the worst part of that fight was that Siegfried just gave his name away for no reason.
like, why would they even include that if it wasn't in the LN?
Is A1 really just that incompetent?

It's Fate.

not enough Mordred

>The real answer is to bait-and-switch people by making them think it was Shirou adopted by Kotomine after the Fuyuki fire instead of Kiritsugu.
Isn't he actually "adopted" by Kotomine's father? Which is why Kotomine also doesn't exist?

Nasu suggesting an MC
Higeshide ability to not write and ripped off a good chuck of FSN
The multiple asspulls in the final chapter

A part of me wishes fate would give us Taira no Masakado as a servant, but apparently the Japs don't like to use him too much in media because the dude may be legit cursed.

yokai.com/tairanomasakado/

He exist they just never talked because Shirou was scared of Kirei going crazy and being his first victim if Kirei snapped. They talked once after Risei died of old age.

>The multiple asspulls in the final chapter
explain further, I don't give a shit about spoilers

Too much Mordred

>Who would win in a fight

lol seriously arguing about this abilities and shit don't matter it's whoever the garbage writer wants to win

All source material aside, the anime is just not well made. The sound direction is bad, both in the sound effects and how the music tries too hard to copy other animated Fate entries poorly. The animation is pretty stiff and even scenes that were clearly meant to have visual impact fall flat because the direction is off.

>literally misunderstanding Shirou's character

It is actually, Vlad's Kaziklu Bey is mentioned as someting special because of that.

Didn't his ghost basically blackmail the imperial capital into building a shrine and deifying him so that he stopped bugging them?

>Jeanne could have used her Holy abilities to exorcise Vlad, but she didn't use them for any reason.

Why does no one complain about her?

Yeah, read the story in the link. Every time someone fucked with the shrine, bad shit happened. The one incident it didn't mention was that postwar the US tried to bulldoze it to build a parking garage. The bulldozer turned over and the driver died.

I swear, at this point I’m more or less watching this only because of Sieg and Astolfo.
It’s not that I hate or don’t care about the plot or the other servants (I absolutely like Karna, for starters) but Sieg and Astolfo completely steal almost all of the best parts of the anime.

youtube.com/watch?v=sfrtaGX8JOc

They did though there's a pasta for that.

kotomine can kill servants confirmed

Easily the best preview of this show so far, as Sieg's plot is far more interesting so far than anything in the actual Grail War has been, and I am far more interested in following him than I am in following either of the two factions, both of whom frankly seem like vile and terrible people for the most part; I'm hoping that neither side wins and that, if Jeanne's vision about Sieg is true, that he is the one who wins the Grail War in the end.

Shirou would kill Kirei before he had the chance. He just didn't want to be the one who had to put down his adoptive younger brother

>You lived long enough for someone to make a Hollow Ataraxia voice patch

NEXT WEEK

Too bad it's shit though.
Proper sequel to F/SN when?

>it's shit

Coming inside this thread was my biggest mistake to date.

Kill yourself.

...

There is a long list of grievances that could be fired off about that, but I'll just give the extraordinarily stupid ones that immediately come to mind:

Sieg knowing how to get to the Reverse Side of the World and Sieg being able to do so within seconds of his transfiguration into the dragon form, without any explanations given as to how either of those things could be the case nor any explanation as to how it was accomplished.

he has no character and HE'S JUST BLACK SHIRO

Netflix got the streaming rights and made it next-to-impossible to watch.

How many black shiros do they need

Reminder that FGO is fate's present and future, you're essentially a secondary or even worse by refusing to accept it, porn VN connoisseur.
