You mean to tell me that I can be trusted to operate an M1A2 Abrams, but not a simple rifle? Why can I serve or vote when people have deemed me too immature to own a rifle.

It is a travesty that the GOP Senate passed SB 7026. I am a Republican, but, I won't support any elected official who sells out the Constitution and the 2nd and 4th Amendments. I am only 24 Years Old, and this Bill while disguised as a "Safety Act" only seeks to dampen the 2nd Amendment more for a younger generation, my generation. If an 18 Year Old can vote and join the Military, why can't said individual legally purchase a Rifle to defend themselves? We work, we pay our taxes, we vote and we contribute to society, to the United States of America, why then should we be limited further?
If we seek to further mystify and alienate the 2nd Amendment from the next generation who inherits it, then we will lose our rights, not only to legislation and bans, but simply to time.
The Bumpfire Stock Ban, would seek to do nothing to protect Americans, or our Children, but again further dampen and restrict Law-abiding citizens. Banning accessories or certain types of firearms does not fix the Mental Health issue plaguing the United States, or Florida for that matter.
In the rush to get ahead of emotions, the Florida legislature is denying the rest of the State of Florida residents, our rights.
I ask, I plead, that you vote No to this bill as it comes back the House, strip out the clauses and legislation that increase the age of purchasing a firearm for self defense. Vote No and strip out the clause that calls for a ban on Bumpfire Stocks.
