So what did you guys think of this adaptation of the X-MEN?
Honestly, I really enjoyed it a lot. It had some pretty great animation, a cool story arc, and alot of badass moments. It really did capture the essence of the Xmen series. As much as I love the movies I say this (with the other shows) does a slight better job with them working as a team. And does Cyclops justice.
I tried a few of these anime back in '11, but they convinced me to stay clear of this collaboration.

I didn't watch those. I think the Wolverine one was more popular here back then, but I don't really remember.

It didn't really use the Japanese setting. It was just a generic X-men series which put it above the odd premises of X-men Evolution or Wolverine and the X-Men and it was executed better than the 90s cartoon.
