>mfw stuck to the endless Anki loop

I just finished GENKI vol. 1
Doing WaniKani as well

I just got back into after a long break. I had done about 640 cards before stopping.

My problem is I don't know how I should go forward. I understand not restarting the deck because I am coming across words in review that I fully recognize, but my reviews aren't being spaced properly for cards that go back in. For example, I complete a card for the day and hit "Good - 1 day", but I don't see it the next day because one of the hundreds of cards I haven't seen since before the break get priority over anything I've done since I got back into it. So since I'm naturally only doing a set amount each day, I'm not coming across these cards that are supposed to be the next day and just constantly keep getting older ones. I even tried increasing my review load and they haven't come up yet.

I feel like this is going to be a waste because by the time I get everything I've done back in rotation I'm just going to forget most of them because the spaced repetition is all screwed up.

These were banned ages ago.

waste of time

I can't learn Japanese.

The trick is to not do the Anki shit and just run throught Heisig 1 and Tae Kim's and then jump right into reading manga. Something with furigana at first, then more advanced stuff later.

finished genki 2
stopped kanji entirely to focus on grammar
mfw reviewing over 1000 moon runes i forgot in order to barely be able to extrapolate meaning from printed japanese media

Been using Memrise. Why does everybody prefer Anki?

Is this the return of DJT?

I have working fluency in speaking/listening and grammar but kanji is just a pain in the ass and i cant ever be fucked to memorize so many scribbles

>You want to be able to speak to your waifu, right?
lol just use an OCR

Free, wider adoption, etc.

My waifu can speak English though, and Japanese isn't even her first language?

is it the girl from akb that got popular recently

Why do so many people seem to just jump straight into Kanji but neglect grammar? Specially considering that japanese structures are different from the english ones.

What's the point of learning kanji individually?

No

Quite well actually. I imported my waifu's three LN volumes on february this year. I then transcripted the whole script kanji by kanji before going through each line after reading taekim's grammar guide a couple of times. Now 8 months later I happen to be decent at Japanese and have read the first two volumes, understanding about 80% of the written text. I don't recommend it though, unless you're as autistic as me.

After falling for her, I learned enough to be able to read her source material in 10 months from scratch.

Love is the best motivation.

Enough yo read porn

Forever trapped in a state of being too good for romaji but too much of a pleb to give up furigana
