What is Sup Forums‘s stance on gambling?
I am a self-admitted compulsive gambler. I learned how to hustle pool at a young age. I don’t know that there is a better feeling than the winning end of a gambler’s high.
They built a casino in my hometown and I tried blackjack. I went from +$3,000 to -$1,000 within three hours one night. I learned blackjack inside and out. I worked at a call center at the time and would play blackjack against myself while doing my job for about 6 months. I can walk into any casino with at least $300 and there is about a 90% chance I’ll leave with a minimum of $1,000.
I know it will break people who don’t know how to gamble properly. I’ve been there numerous times. I know that it is insanely addicting. Gambling is one of the few drugs you don’t injest.
Is gambling degenerate? Is it degenerate if you consistently win? Should it be legal? Would it be allowed in the ethnostate? Should women be allowed to gamble?
Just talk about the political/social aspects of gambling, faggots.

>I learned blackjack inside and out.

Unless you're referring to card counting, "learning" blackjack can be accomplished by looking at the appropriate strategy chart. You don't even need to memorize them, even, because any casino would be more than happy for you to bring along a guide to optimal strategy as they know their edge is still built-in to the game.

You have the delusions typical of a degenerate gambler. You do not win a $700 profit on $300 90% of the time you walk into a casino except over a very small sample size with swings and runs. You cannot beat blackjack over the long term without counting or cheating. Quit while you're ahead, if you're even ahead at this point.

Inside and out means counting. I spent 8 hours a day, 5 days a week practicing counting cards while talking to people on the phone for 6 months.

Save your money. You'll raise the stakes for kicks over time and lose big, or if you're actually adept at counting you'll get spotted and banned/blackballed. They play a longer game than you can. Good luck, nigger. You'll need it

I ended up leaving my state to a state with different gambling regulations. Here I can only hustle pool and play poker. I’m still trying to learn poker, but it’ll take longer for me to learn like pool was. It’ll be way more profitable, though.

Even if you're counting your $300 to $1000+ 90% of the time claim still doesn't add up given even most basic mathematics of how card counting works. Also, if you're counting you must be playing at the world's shittiest casinos if they haven't noticed and banned you by now.

Compulsive Gambling is the most Asian thing you can do Chang Wo.

Counting is a shitty job. You need a large bankroll compared to what you will be winning. Even when keeping a good count you only push the advantage to about 1% in your favor. This takes a lot of bankroll to survive the natural swings and you will only win a small amount doing it. And it wont take long for any real casino to flat bet your ass if they even suspect you of counting. Ive been drunk and joked at casinos before about counters and not a hand later I was told to flat bet. OP should take the quick hit and run.

And yes OP, gambling is extremely degenerate.

Apparently kek agrees with you. Okay, what about gambling in non-chance games? Is it degenerate to take advantage of a degenerate who is far too drunk to be putting up the money they’re betting?

I would say yes, taking advantage of a drunk is pretty low. You might try to get them to sleep off their drunken state instead of trying to rip them off.

My parents are going to kick me out because I spent a large amount of their money on gambling. Does anyone know if there is some way to make money quickly so they will stop bothering me about paying them back? I know the paper says I loss 110 thousand but this is from only one casino. I probably owe them closer to 150 thousand dollars. My deadline for paying them is May 1st.

Gambling in games such as poker is only degenerate if you make it degenerate, i.e. betting money you don't have / can't afford to lose, chasing losses while tilting, playing above your bankroll in a way that gives you a significant risk of going bust, neglecting your other responsibilities, and so on.

Regarding taking advantage of someone who's playing poorly while drunk, if you're not willing to take their money then someone else will, meaning that your act of taking pity on their reckless behavior doesn't actually benefit that person, realistically.

The scenario I'm imagining is one of multiple people sitting around a poker table. It's a different question, ethically, if for example you were playing heads up with the drunk person, and were actively encouraging them to get further inebriated for your benefit.

Start wearing women’s clothes, a wig and start taking BB hue dick.

Wow.

>I can walk into any casino and there's a 90% chance I'll leave up $1000
You're a literal retard if you think you can consistently win money in a game designed to make you lose money. Even advantage players lose a good percentage of the time.

Let your dad give you the D as much as he likes or just kill yourself for doing that to your poor parents.

Horse shit. With proper counting and betting, you can shift the advantage to 57% your way.

They're not poor they have millions. for some reason they just dislike me and want to cause me problems. This whole situation I'm in is entirely their fault.

Gambling in general is a shit way to make a living. I played poker for a living for a while, it's nice to make money at your leisure but the swings require financial discipline and the games have gotten tougher. if you're smart and disciplined enough to be a winning player you can generally make more in business of some sort. Business hours for poker are all weekends and late nights. You'll play for hours on end. When you indulge your gambling habits, if you're honest to yourself later, your indulgence was almost always a losing play.

Tl;Dr get money otherwise and gamble infrequently for fun.

Also, playing poker with drunks is annoying. Its not like they just walk up and hand you their money. Most often they annoy you for an hour, sometimes all night, and sometimes they win no matter how drunk they are or how well you play.

I've counted around 10 times in my life and only twice did I get a value above 14. Most of the time you're betting the minimum and slowly bleeding chips until the deck becomes positive. Even then, the dealer is going to make hands sometimes. Counting isn't guaranteed money

So 57% equals 90%? Good luck getting the +20 deck you need to shift the odds that much in your favor

You can't win if you don't play, OP. Don't be a loser, get out there and win.

You will never hit 57% on a standard table/shoe.

In the future, anons, man will overcome his human condition; man will master himself because what's left to dominate? In the future there will be no sins or vices, because man will not choose what's a determent to him, but then again, sins and vices are not always detrimental and so Lawless is born.

I'm not a huge gambler, but I do like to bet on sports. You can actually make a little money on sports wagering, unlike most forms of gambling which offer a negative return on your investment over time.

Counting isnt a promise by any stretch unless you have a huge bankroll and are satisfied with making 100 dollars a day working 10 hours counting cards.

Tax fraud is degenerate as well.
>Yes I know what you're up to.

Good people do not lie cheat or steal apply to your problem and you will know if your or on the right track

are you a "gambler" or a student doing a project on this

i play craps alot. i play iron cross with $200. roll the dice 3x then take the bets down. i generally walk out with $100+ more than i walked in with but there are times where i sevened out immediately after setting up my bets. i'm still $700/800 or so ahead of the game. the casino is like a drug but not in the fact that it's addictive --- when you walk into one you become immediately disoriented by the lights, noises, decor, carpeting, etc. it's a big psyop to separate you from your money. it is degenerate but it's fun. the key is not to gamble with more than you can afford to lose. everytime i lost 200 it was like a punch in the gut but i suffered no hardship for the loss. and just because you have an actual tiny edge counting cards doesn't mean negative trends won't occur. if it gets to the point where one has to downgrade to peanut butter sandwiches and ramen noodles or not making payments on time then one needs to readjust ones thinking towards gambling. remember - these games have been honed to make you a loser in the long haul.

it is degenerate if you cant control yourself but once in a while it can be fun
