Why did Jitsu Wa flop?

Why did Jitsu Wa flop?

because the anime adaptation was garbage

it barely did the first arc.

There voices in the manga was better

This. They emphasized harem shit over the comedy AND took too long to introduced all the characters. Episode 10 or 11 was the only episode that captured even a little of the manga's magic.

This is the correct answer

What ruined it for me were the character designs. Jitsu wa was at first a comedy. It didn't delve deeper than that until we were comfy with the manga. Hence it had sharper designs at first.
But this is a fucking harem of Chaikas. It's unnerving.

I have to agree with the slow character introductions. The later characters weren't interesting to me either.

because the manga didnt get good for awhile and the anime was a shit adaptation of shit parts

it took a whole season to do not even the first arc.

than manga is MAX COMFY, and once the mangaka decided to see what would happen once the brakes were taken off the train, it got to be GOAT. if they would have went a little scooby doo with the school mysteries it would have been better, but they just draaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaged shit on.

the beauty contest was toppest of kek's

Because the voice wasn't the same as the manga.

>Catching up on the manga
>Alium cucked so hard she's getting poochied.

did the manga have a good, conclusive ending? If not it's not gonna be worth the effort of reading it, will it?

Still ongoing.

He won the girl and it kept going even though it could have ended. After that it's a kinda lame attempt to keep the will they won't they going with 'But in the future timeline is she the one he marries?', which is dumb, because he already won the girl. Of course they will.

BUT despite that, the series is a comedy. And it's still fucking funny. So the weakass plot device isn't near as big a negative as it sounds.

It ended half year ago, 7 chapters left to scanlate

just look at the characters

Alium was the most popular girl among fans, which may be why she was written out of the story.

1) moeblobbing the character designs - this was terrible. lost the whole flavor of the manga by redesigning the characters

2) bad comedy - the director clearly didn't get comedy, and absolutely butchered the comedy of the manga (this is a joke manga first and foremost).

3) RomCom was shit too - Jitsu Wa was never really supposed to be much of a romcom, the MC had one girl he was into, and while a bunch of girls got into the MC, he never really loses focus on his crush. Yet the director of the anime decided to push the romcom and harem aspects to the front at the expence of the comedy.

4) whitewashing of the raunchy humor - the fucking werewolf was a walking sex joke in the manga, in the anime she/he became really fucking tame and kid friendly. Lots of the sex humor/jokes were simply dropped, really killing some of the funniest scenes in the manga.

5) the first arc was the only thing adapted - the first arc in the manga was barely noticeable; it was quick, and buried under an avalanche of jokes. The fucking anime dragged it out over 12 episodes. Killing the "zanny" and quick pacing of the manga.

She's fine, but I never really got the love of the character besides sympathy for losing.

Earlier in the manga she had the most character development, much of it from her own viewpoint so more than sympathy you could empathize with her.
She was super cute too. She was dumb but somewhat aware of her own bad choices and helpless against it because of love.
