Your choice. Personally I'd recommend reading the manga (from the start!) but I wouldn't rule out getting S2 in a couple of years if sales prove to be reasonable (5k+, which is borderline possible). Better yet, a feature film for the next arc. It would be amazing as a 1.5-2 hour movie.
