So a friend made me watch like the first three episodes with him and not only did i not laugh at most of the premature jokes, i also got this intense feeling that something was very off about this show. We argued that this was like a "coming of age" satire-comedy joint but then again exclusivley targeted at adults. I said, why bother doing a coming of age series if it is not targeted at young people but adults? why the explicit showing of genitalia and acts of masturbation and/or sexual intercourse of children? the credits of course show (((goldberg))) and (((levin))) but why so obvious? why start a critically acclaimed show centering on pedo-themes. my friend had to admit he looked at it that way, that it was just a funny show to him and that the jokes and crassness were merely for shock value, but i mean WTF? is this what entertainment has become?
