Not really. I waiting for the those 1500-2000 fighters to arrive from DeZ unless they are already there

it's not the turkish army doing better or not but the ypg doing worse than ISIS

>‘Go back to Raqqa & bury bodies’: Putin calls for investigation into strikes on civilians in Syria

Russian President Vladimir Putin has said there should be an investigation into the massive airstrikes on residential areas in Syria’s Raqqa. Putin pointed out that the dead are still unburied and corpses are lying in the ruins.
“As for crimes, go back to Raqqa and at least bury the dead bodies, which are still lying amid the ruins after the air strikes on residential neighborhoods – and investigate these attacks,” the Russian leader said as he sat down for an “at times combative” interview with NBC’s Megyn Kelly. Putin also raised the point that the battle for Iraq’s Mosul involving the US-led forces left the city “razed to the ground.”

>The interview heated up when the two were speaking about Syria, when the anchor asked about alleged chemical attacks, for which the West blames the Syrian government. Those claims were rebuffed as “fake news” by the Russian leader. Putin stressed that Damascus destroyed its stockpile of chemical weapons long ago, and the militants aimed “to simulate chemical attacks” which were then blamed on the Syrian army.

“All the attempts that have been made repeatedly in the recent past, and all the accusations were used to consolidate the efforts against Assad,” Putin told the journalist. As Kelly continued to ask about alleged chemical attacks that led to civilian deaths, Putin noted that there had been no thorough investigation into what had happened in Syria.

“Russia is for a full-scale investigation. If you do not know this, I am telling you this now. It is not true that we are against an objective investigation. That is a lie.”

>First group of militants surrender arms & leave East Ghouta after Russia-brokered talks

The first group of militants have surrendered their arms and left East Ghouta as an increasing number of rebel fighters in Syria seek to disassociate themselves from Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists, the Russian military has announced.
“Certain representatives of illegal armed groups have intensified attempts to get in touch with the Syrian government forces and the Russian Center for Reconciliation with the aim of discussing their separation from the banned terrorist group Jabhat al-Nusra,” Major General Yury Yevtushenko, the head of the Reconciliation Center in Syria, said in a statement on Friday.

Efforts to separate the so-called moderate opposition fighters from jihadists continue in the Damascus suburb of Eastern Ghouta. The Syrian government established a humanitarian corridor which remains open to both civilians and militants who are willing to lay down their arms.

>The first group of 13 militants used the gateway to leave the rebel-controlled Damascus suburb via Muhayam al-Wafideen corridor overnight. Video of the exodus under government watch shows fighters carrying their belongings and boarding vehicles to head to Idlib. Yevtushenko attributed the militant surrender to the “lengthy talks” held by the reconciliation center’s officers and jihadist groups.

No provocations followed the exit of militants, the general said, adding that those who have surrendered will be transported to Idlib, while negotiations continue regarding the surrender of other militants. The news of militants’ surrender coincided with a statement by the Jaysh Al-Islam group, which allegedly agreed to release Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) fighters from their prisons and send them towards Idlib as well.

>The state had been engaged in an escalating low intensity conflict with the PKK since 1984. The conflict reached an apex when the PKK planned to proclaim their independence by 1994. Towards the end of 1992, a furious debate in the NSC about how to proceed was taking place. Doves such as President Turgut Özal and General Eşref Bitlis favored a non-military solution. However, both of these people died in 1993.

>>No chance of another European gas crisis, because this time EU in full control of Ukraine – analyst

Brussels will not allow a repeat of the January 2006 gas crisis, when Ukraine allegedly siphoned deliveries destined for Europe, predicts TeleTrade analyst, Petr Pushkarev.

That is because the current Ukrainian government is completely dependent on the EU, both financially and politically, he told RT.

“Europe has all the levers of influence on Ukraine, something not seen in 2006 or in 2009. And of course, Europe will not weaken pressure on Ukraine on the gas issue, where it directly relates to the interests of the EU itself. Therefore, Gazprom, severing the contract with Ukraine’s Naftogaz, knows what it is doing, and does not take any risks,” Pushkarev said.

Last week, Russia’s Gazprom said it would cancel its contract with Ukraine’s Naftogaz for the supply and transit of natural gas to the country. The announcement came after the Stockholm Arbitration ordered Naftogaz to pay Gazprom $2 billion, while ordering the Russian company to compensate Naftogaz to the tune of $4.67 billion.

The countries signed the contract for the supply of gas from Russia to Ukraine in January 2009, running until the end of 2019. Under the agreement, Kiev was to buy 40 billion cubic meters of gas per year. From 2010, the volume rose to 52 billion cubic meters annually. However, since 2012, Naftogaz has ceased buying the contracted volume, and stopped buying Russian gas entirely in November 2015, replacing it with reverse gas supplies from Europe.
With Ukraine cut of from Russian gas supplies, there are concerns about a repeat of the gas crisis in 2006. Parts of Europe were left without heat during one of the coldest winters on record after Ukraine began to siphon gas sent to the European market. The current contract expires in December 2019 and has not yet been extended.

>French Islamic school teacher jailed for beating & shaving off student’s ‘un-Koranic’ blonde hair

An Islamic school teacher in France has been sentenced to one year in jail for brutally beating his 12-year-old student and for shaving off the boy’s “non-Koranic” hair, which was colored blonde.
The teacher, along with three other men, was convicted of kidnapping and violence against a minor by the Pontoise criminal court on Friday, French media report. The shocking incident occurred last April, when the boy showed up at his Arabic class at the Sablon mosque, in the municipality of Sarcelles, north off Paris.

The teacher apparently did not favor the new hairstyle sported by the student, saying his blonde fringe went against “Koranic rules.” As a “punishment,” he decided to shave off his pupil’s tinted hair in the middle of class.

>In revenge, the boy later pelted the offender’s house with eggs only to run into more trouble. The teacher called the boy’s stepfather and got permission to teach him “a good lesson,” with the condition that it wouldn’t leave marks on his body.

The boy was sent to clean up the mess made by the eggs but, when he showed up at his teacher’s house, he was attacked by him and three others. The teacher, his 20-year-old brother and two youth workers employed by the city held the boy for around two hours slapping and punching him, with breaks to give the teen water and a handkerchief.

When the young victim was finally released and arrived home, his stepfather, who himself eventually got a six-month suspended sentence, ignored the boy’s swollen face and bruises.

“This is not a religious problem but an educational one,” the teacher’s lawyer insisted at court, adding that his client regretted the punishment, and that it went beyond what he had intended. In the meantime, the three other men were given from six to eight months behind bars, while the boy was awarded €5,000 in compensation.

>This illegal activity on the state's part was partly motivated, or at least justified as such, by the tens of billions of dollars in loss of trade with Iraq due to the Gulf War.[11][12] To put this into perspective, the Turkish heroin trade, then worth $50 billion, exceeded the state budget of $48 billion.[13]:588 (Other sources quote the 1998 budget as $62 billion and the drug market as $70 billion , though only a fraction of this was tapped as commission.[12])

>‘Hysteria in the United States over China in Africa’

Washington seems to be quite hysterical over Beijing’s growing influence in Africa. China is starting to play “first fiddle” on the continent by investing in its infrastructure, American author and historian Gerald Horne told RT.
The US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson started his African tour with a warning that a country may “lose control of its own infrastructure” or “forfeit sovereignty” by accepting loans from China. Tillerson was speaking in the capital of Ethiopia, a major recipient of Chinese aid.

>Horne says that Washington has every reason to be concerned about playing “second fiddle” in China. “There is a fear in the US that sooner or later the Chinese economy – if it’s not already – will be larger than the US economy, which will have a monumental impact on the balance of forces globally and strategically,” Horne said, speaking to RT in an interview.

The historian believes that there is indeed some kind of US hysteria over the ‘One Belt One Road’ initiative, which has been recently promoted by China. Unveiled by President Xi Jinping back in 2013, the ambitious project aims to extend Chinese multi-trillion-dollar trade across the globe.

Initially it aimed to connect China to Southeast and Central Asia by land and the Middle East and Europe by sea, but later developed to include East Africa. For context, China is investing $3.2 billion in Kenya’s rail network, while the US gives that country $100 million annually in security assistance.

>The United States is the leading aid donor to Africa but China surpassed it as a trade partner in 2009, pumping billions into infrastructure projects. China has thereby become the largest jobs creator on the continent in less than two decades.

>may “lose control of its own infrastructure” or “forfeit sovereignty” by accepting loans from China

But hey, take some IMF loans, that should do the deal is that right?

Turks are losing in every single front. They cant compete with the US air superiority that the kurds have in Afrin. Kurdistan soon.

Afrin is going to become Turkey Stalingrad, and then the Kurd will march straight all the way to Ankara, and from there drive the turks into the sea.
