He has never jobbed once

He has never jobbed once.

Prove me wrong.

Actual textbook "jobbing", not just losing.

Against Perfect Cell, really. Then again, it was a supposed to be a sign of passing the torch and responsibilities to the newer generation rather than just always relying on him. At least, at that time and before the Buu Arc rolls around.

He jobs every time it comes to raising his sons.

Can you really call that jobbing? Goku trained to his limits and Cell still outclassed in every way. He knew only Gohan could unlock SSJ2 at the time and defeat Cell.

>AHHH FRIEZA PLEASE SAVE ME

Against Ginyu.
Against Perfect Cell.

He jobbed against Frieza's Henchman, that weakshit laser shouldn't even have scratched his skin, which could take bullets and rockets back in the day.

m.youtube.com/watch?v=WuaDDjdB1sE

He jobbed against Black.

The point of jobbing is to make the opponent look good. Perfect Cell fits, Goku gave his all against Cell while Cell wasn't even using his full power.

Goku jobs little because he's the top face in the story.

This. /thread

Goku is more like he always losses first fight but then finds ass pulls up to wazoo to win in the end. So if you are a villain you need to kill him ASAP.

He jobbed to Build in ratings.

>Cell wasn't even using his full power
Let me modify. Cell wasn't even CLOSE to using his full power. He was playing around.

Goku lost to Cell to make Gohan defeat Cell even more impressive.

The definition of "jobbing" has always been a previously strong/competent person being regressed or defeated in order to show the superiority of someone else. Going by that, Goku has jobbed in every arc since the beginning of the franchise.

this is the only time that would count. The only other might be in dragonball with piccolos minions and later having yajarobi fuck up another one to show that yajarobi is actually fucking strong

>Goku gave his all against Cell

bullshit. Goku could have crushed cell but chose not to because he wanted gohan to become the defender of earth

but not even goku could predict how much of a jobber gohan is

>show the superiority of someone else
by that you mean whoever beats they person they jobbed too
in which case it never happened

One is not goku
One is him sacrifying himself, bringing victory to earth
Some are just him taking hits
He was not fighting at full power against majin bejita
and the others are dragon ball super shit

In the end, except against tao pai pai, piccolo daimao and maybe yamcha, he never jobbed.

>Goku could have crushed cell
No, it is explicitly stated a number of times that Cell is stronger than Goku. Goku is even surprised to find out during the fight between Gohan and Cell how much stronger Cell was than he had believed him to be.

>Ginyu in Goku's body
What?

He came in 2nd fair and square in the first two budokais. I'd say that's pretty much jobbing to the winners of the tournaments. For example, Tien seemed really strong at the time for being able to fight on par and squeak out a victory against Goku. It's negated almost immediately after, of course. But seems like text book jobbing at the time to let us know that Tien was more than just fodder.

This guy is on fucking roids, why doesn't the tournament test the fucking fighters???

He could have defeated Cell with Genkidama.

"Jobbing" doesn't make sense outside pro wrestling. Jobbing is one wrestler laying down for another; there is no losing in actuality because pro wrestling isn't real, it's all an act. The wrestler are real people and aware of a boundary between fiction (kayfabe) and reality, that the outcome of bouts are determined by writers, not by their actual merits.

When you speak of jobbing in something like DB, you're getting into the intentions of the writer(s), to have Hero 2 lose to Villain 1 to make Villain 1 look awesome in time for Hero 1 to arrive and vanquish him. There is no jobbing, this is all "real" to the fictional characters. Losses is considered legit, not scripted.

A character like Vegeta is called a jobber because he's acquired a reputation for losing to the new bad guy on the block, but that is fans being snarky and cynical. There's no jobbing, just straight up losing.

Cell could have killed him before it was finished.

He should have charged it beforehand and then showed up to the Cell games with it

He could have done that or whatever you can make up, but he didn't. Goku lost, period.

Yeah, I'm not the guy you were talking to, I just said he should have done that

Many of Goku's opponents have been stronger than him and he still won. With cell, he even said himself the gap isn't much at all.
Goku gave it a shot, but didn't put his heart into it. After getting a feel for his strength, he sent Gohan out in order for him to grow as a fighter.
Jobbing means he made someone else look stronger who then is defeated by someone else to cement the feat.

He jobbed once and that was for the first androids to make vegeta look powerful

And then vegeta jobbed to android 18

Ginyu and cell are not jobs

He literally just jobbed to Jiren

Granted he's going to asspull his way back but he still lost (with his powerful new form) to make Jiren look strong

>Goku gave it a shot, but didn't put his heart into it.
Don't make things up, Goku was exhausted from his fight with Cell. Cell on the other hand only went full power doing his fight with Gohan.

Gohan was Goku's trump card. Goku did not plan to make his son who wanted to be a scholar his successor or planned to die for that matter. Gohan's retardation and Goku's decision not to be revived created that scenario.

>Jobbing means he made someone else look stronger
And that didn't happen. Goku tested his limits against Cell and failed. He didn't have what it took to beat Cell.

This reeks of Gokufags not being able to admit their hero isn't always up to the task. No, he has to be playing around. Unfortunately it was not Goku but Cell who didn't put his all into it. Goku couldn't do it, Gohan could.

It's amazing how there are so many interpretations of Goku's intentions to have Gohan fight Cell. Selective memory or is DBZ really that complex?

>exhausted from his fight with Cell
Remember when he nearly drowned, but still managed to overpower Frieza?
Remember how he made that Spirit Bomb soon after being barely able to stand up?
Remember how he did the same thing against Vegeta?
You're an idiot if you think Goku actually fought at that point like he did in the past with the same ferocity and tenacity.

Woah, Goku wasn't shown in dire straits. That proves he wasn't outclassed by Cell and not that, you know, Cell was playing with him to test Goku's strength against his own.

Please provide any evidence that Goku was not giving his all against an opponent he knew was stronger than him and could have gone for the kill at any moment. Otherwise I'll chalk it up as you being another delusional fantard who has a hard time understanding a series for children.

Different translations. Also people who don't read the damn manga.

And the top two examples showcased how strong Frieza was. Frieza neutralized Goku's Kaoiken x 20 Kamehameha with one hand. He also survives a Spirit Bomb. He was way more powerful than Goku, even at just 50%.

Roshi says Goku is tired while Cell is still fresh in comparison, and that Goku can't win. Cell is the one who suggests Goku eat a senzu bean. And Cell only went full power against Gohan. What could Goku pull out of his ass to beat Cell like he did with SS against Frieza? Nothing.

To sum.

Korin says Cell is stronger than Goku.
Roshi says Cell is too strong for Goku.
Goku's friends suggest helping Goku because they know Cell is too strong for Goku.
Vegeta rebukes them but admits Cell is too strong and Goku will likely die if he continues.
Goku gives up and admits Cell is the stronger. He then says if Gohan can't beat Cell, NO ONE can.

Goku didn't have a chance. Case closed.

Is Cell the most cucked in all of DBZ?
>Jobbed to fucking Gohan, even after his asspull power up
>Rots in Hell with not a single cool resurrection
>Problem hasn't even discovered meditation training
>Will literally never be relevant again

www3.mangafreak.net/Read1_Dragon_Ball_399_14
He literally says he's being pushed to his limits as well. Cell has an edge over Goku, but that's about it.
Think about this way. Where normally, Goku would fight as if to the death and you could feel his will and desperation, here, he just fought a while until using the instant kamehameha where afterward both he and cell were depleted. He's fought well like that before, but rather than give it his all at the point he'd usually be most excited, he decided to give the fight to Gohan for his sake.

Just like Goku had no chance against Majin Buu?
He did the exact same thing here as in that arc.

why would you need to stand a chance to be a jobber

Didn't he Job when he married Chichi and lost Bulma to his rival?

Goku jobs every time he drops his guard since he has no reason to given his experience as a fighter.

>Goku with a heart virus
>Goku letting himself get killed to defeat Raditz
>Ginyu in Goku's body

I can smell the butthurt from the person who made that webm

Jobbing is about being strong yet losing to a stronger foe to show how strong he is you fucking 'tard.

You can argue that his Kaio Ken x20 SSJB form jobbed to Jiren so we can all bask in the warm glow of how awesome UI is.

UI losing to Jiren was -not- jobbing because it was more due to Goku not having mastered and/or being able to maintain it, as commented by both Whis and Jiren during the fight. On the other hand, Goku was in full control and near peak condition when he let loose SSJB KKx20 and still got wrecked.

Cell knows all of Goku's moves, the moment he tried to perform a Genkidama, Cell would have killed him.

Charging it earlier wouldn't have done anything save get the planet destroyed as Cell would have sensed it.
