As well as min wage essentially takes away the ability for an employer to consent. A worker has the ability to discuss their wage right? But what we have is we are setting a min wage and then small businesses can’t afford to keep up. It’s a system that enables large corporations to stamp out the competition. The problem is that a business is going to cover that raised cost by doing two things:
1> Firing some workers and reducing the hours of other workers to do the same work with less workers 2> Raise the cost of what it sales
Every modern study has found this is the effect of raising minimum wage. The market price of the goods can't completely be raised to make up the difference, and in fact, in most businesses, it can't be raised much at all and still retain the same level of customers. This forces the business to simply lay off some workers and cut other workers hours. And this is what has been seen in every state in the US that raised the minimum wage. The main way businesses coped with the increased labor cost was to reduce labor so they were paying out about the same in total wages and salaries after the increase, resulting in less workers in total, and leaning more heavily on "salaried" positions to make up the difference in lost hours.
Now, a lot of businesses in the US won't be very effected by minimum wage, because they employ mostly illegals. Those businesses just fire a few of the legal employees they have, and replace them with more illegals.

I work with installation, and programming of six axis FANUC robots, i can tell you with confidence that i could fully automate every fast food job out there with technology we have right now.
