Entrance exam starts, get a hit onto game-guy and karin

SUDDENLY PLOT TWIST
MANGA STORYLINE ABANDONED

Stupid shinobu introduction, shes already working at the inn
Sword is already talking to Tota, everyone knows how to use it
Just offscreen training
Monsters from underground attack shinobu
Tota helps
Pass entrance test
Gets kicked underground to exterminate the monsters
FUCKING GOD
I HAD SO MANY HOPES FOR A AKAMATSU ANIME THAT IS TRUE TO THE MANGA

Nope. got fucked again. i knew it will be like this when negi appeared in EP1 and no shnobu in gen2.

When they just throw little class rep into the fray im going to go nuts.

>everyone knows how to use it
What? Seriously?

And no Jinbei?

I was expecting them to skip and change some manga stuff since Santa is absent from the anime and there is a bunch of promotional art for Negi and his guys, which are later in the story.

I think Shinobu working on the Inn already was a decent change, skipping Jinbei's arc with the sword is a fucking travesty though.

Jinbei was there, but he was just...i dunno....standing there, talking "Use the sword, its cool" and thats mostly it.

The sword can talk to anyone already, and he knew about the Dial thing too.

The fucking rainbow censorship of totas hand too. A few minutes later we see blood again when kuro got his arm cut off, what the fuck.

I wanted a "Eye of the tiger" training scene underground with tota getting his immortality explained and them training together.

was that C.C.?

Santa's silhouette appears in episode 2.

When?

I hope they don't skip Dana's training too, or I'll be pissed off.

I'm still giving the adaptation the benefit of the doubt, some of the changes have been good: Santa is a waste of character space (sadly) and Shinobu is much better introduced as a regular earlier, her late appearance in the manga was pretty random, to be honest.

Touta is a lot more likeable in the adaptation too, but maybe that's just me.

Reminder that Akamatsu is part of the staff and involved in the script. If it turns out to be abd he'll have no one to blame.

I really doubt it, he's not in promotional material nor in the opening, and even the glasses guy from the latest chapter and that other vampire that appeared 2 times in the manga are in the opening.

did eva stop being an ancient evil vampire ?

When Touta talks about his goal. 20:10. Even Shota vampire and Juuzou are there.

She stopped being evil long time ago.

When was she even evil?

If you had hope for this anime you have nobody but yourself to blame. Just enjoy it for what it is and accept that we are never getting a proper adaptation of anything Akamatsu does.

the whole mars arc with negi going to the dark side because of eva.

is it ok to use dark magic with out risk of corruption?

Are you sure that's Santa and not Ialda?

Also who's the long haired blonde, because Ikkyu is in the back next to Kirie, and Eva is right at the back.

Who's the swordsman next to Karin, too, I wonder.

when she originally faced Nagi with her doll army and was defeated. being cursed to be a goth loli at a middle school forever.

It's her backstory in Negima, they show it again during Dana's training arc.

It's more of a brainwashing thing though.

>Also who's the long haired blonde
People tend not to talk about him as much as SHota vampire and Juuzou but he is here since the beginning too.

Literally who.
Does he even have a name? I do remember Shota Vampire at least having one.

She was never evil. People hated her because she was a vampire and she defended herself when attacked. The more she beat them the higher was the price for her head. All these deaths led to her being called Dark Evangel.

That's already in the OVA though.

She didn't face Nagi with a doll army and the worst things she did there was falling for a married man.

Her backstory said that she was branded as evil. It never really specified her as actually being evil.

>Does he even have a name?
No. We don't know Shote vampire's name either. We only know Juuzou's name because Eva said he is the second strongest and we saw a pic of him when she said that. Akamatsu should start introduce them more now that it looks like he is back in UQH mode. The recent chapter with Jinbei and Makabe was rad.

I skipped the OVA.

It would be pretty weird if they skipped it in the anime proper though, considering all that happens during that arc.

OVA?

I'd swear we heard the shota vampire's name when he sent Touta to do some errands, didn't he appear using a suit at some point? It was so long ago.

I totally forgot about Juuzou, and the latest chapter was really good, Jinbei is really cool and I'm liking his chemistry with Makabe.

What the fuck

There was an OVA some time ago, I thought it was just fanservice but it seems they actually adapted some of the story?

Yes, OVA. But it wasn't even complete. It should be in the anime because that's the turning point for Touta's character. No Eglish subs.

>, didn't he appear using a suit at some point?
I thin you are confusing him with Vasago.

How much did they butcher the entrance exam?

Probably, it has been such a long time since we've had any actual UQ Holder stuff, and I haven't watched the third episode yet either.

>its a Hackamatsu anime that deviates away from the source material
Once a hack, always a hack

All manga authors are hacks though.

>Changed Jinbe's introduction.
>Different test.
>No cool battle underground
>They showed Gengoro's immortality
It was not bad but still. It worries me.

youtu.be/MSDrNvKdCxg Here is the episode if anyone cares.

>Santa is absent
Fucking why. He's pretty lovable and one of the only new characters with half a decent background.

>Shinobu showing up immediately
>not dedicating half an episode for shounen training underground
>gets the sword immediately
>Godzilla appears

>the easiest multi-season harem to adapt
>they still fuck it up
how

>UQuck Holder
>harem
(lol

Kirie wins and the manga isn't even halfway done.

>tota isn't a lolicon
>kirie wins
keep dreaming

I guess he's the new Kotaro in more ways than one.

You again. Even if you think Kirie will win it doesn't change the fact that it's a harem.

Kotaro was actually very relevant, like Kuromaru.

Then he became a literal who sidekick who got the worst girl out of 31 and was JUST ever since.

I just want more screentime of best girl.

I was kinda secretly hoping that Santa and Kirie would become an item... yeah, go ahead and laugh...

...

>calls himself a boy
>still gets flustered like a girl
she's pretty dense, isn't she?

The best part is that he's looking at the audience as if he knows....

Yes, he knows you fapped to him

I get that, they have a good chemistry. But itt's not like Kirie is going to win the Toutabowl anyway. And there are a few hints that Ikkuu has feelings for her.

why the fuck is there no porn

>But itt's not like Kirie is going to win the Toutabowl anyway.
>being this delusional

He's not a lolicon.

There has been porn since the very start of the series. Not much, though.

Still haven't recovered from the Negima reveal huh?

Holy smokes, Yukihime is 11/10

When is my nigga kotaro going to come in and fuck shit up?

...

He must be dead.

This triggers me, why is Kirie Blond? Original material and stuff like that yokkora doujin makes me picture as a pink haired slut, godamn.

Akamatsu didn't draw her hair color consistent

i.gyazo.com/244c03eefc7307fef9142bd2a10d6829.gif
wat

They fucked up the sequence

He should left her pink haired, there's already enough blond people in UQ holder

Did you say best girl?

Reminds me of six fingered Makie.

>these old hags still have jobs

They are all dead.

this shit is a lot worse then Black clover

gays will hang

Why can't anything Ken does get a faithful adaption? It's not horrid just yet, but god it's going to be rushed to hell.

>linking a gif
>on an image board

There's nobody but him to blame this time, considering he's on the staff and part of the script writing, if I recall.

Eva gives me the stiffies

Here she is.
Even nostalgiafags have better baits.

>Kuroumaru manipulating her arm like that
Wait what? Didn't the manga explicitely stated that Kuroumaru's immortality is the kind that recognize any cut body part as "lost" and regenerate a new one?

Normally, her body would generate a new arm, and I don't remember Kuroumaru able to manipulate a cut limb remotely.

>Didn't the manga explicitely stated that Kuroumaru's immortality is the kind that recognize any cut body part as "lost" and regenerate a new one?
It depends on the way it's been destroyed.

>le trope you must land 1 hit to pass the test!
>le trope super duper sword
>le trope 1 week training he manages to reach/outpace the supposed superior opponents
>le trope he almost wins, but hears something going down and rushes to help
Should i keep going?
Literally this whole shit is worse then Black clover, literally every single shit is your standard Shonen trope with zero originality.

Isn't Kuroumaru's immortality one of the slower ones? it did take him quite a long time to recover from the stab last episode.

Just read the manga. None of those tropes happened at all. Originally they were thrown underground for a month out of spite, in which Touta finds the sword. Their test was just to survive to join their ranks.

UQ holder is really weak at the start, it kinda does get better later but if you never read negima I would drop it, it's rather mediocre if you don't enjoy akamatsu stuff already

Don't forget they really expected them to be stuck for approximately 8 years or something.

If you find it worst than Black Clover you have mental issues.

Okay episode this week, animesolution.com/2017/10/16/uq-holder-mahou-sensei-negima-2-t-v-media-review-episode-3/

Kuroumaru's immortality is rank B.

More like nondescript Eva.

He had a string there.

Honestly the thing that bothers me the most about this anime isn't the story or characters or anything like that.... is it normal for anime to debut at midnight and be successful?

This was never going to be succesful.

It's at midnight because of the gore.

It's not meant to be successful because the manga is a dud.
