Israel's defense is all but guaranteed by nukes and a pretty advanced military as far as that region goes. Their entire state could collapse and they would still have a strong security blanket to protect them from outside threats. There would need to be a very serious bomb going off in the middle of Jerusalem to put these people out, but it would never come from the Iranians, because Jerusalem is pretty holy to them too.
The only people we really need to worry about as far as that scenario goes, are the really hardcore zealots that were rolling in ISIS, who are pretty much so devoted to anti idolatry that they'll blow up anything with religious iconography whether its Christian, pagan, or Muslim. Of course acquiring a nuclear weapon isn't easy, and its harder still to find a team with the experience and skill to handle one. Even if ISIS had a nuke, they certainly did not have the resources to store or use one.
