Most people who come to Sup Forums and start threads about wanting to kill themselves just want the abuse they know they'll get as an excuse to do it. Their mind is already more or less made up, there isn't some powerful cloaked bully instigating the whole affair.
That said, nowadays I think there is a lot more targeted psyops across all of Sup Forums, the degenerate nature of which can easily fracture young minds (as we know no one follows the 18+ rule) and send them on a darker path than they may have otherwise taken.
