I'd settle with an actual movie at least, just to tie all the missing knots of the girl's relationships moving forward, perhaps the origin of Mimi and the true nature of pure illusion. It'd be a chance to introduce a true antagonistic element for some cool conflict and resolution and a more fleshed out epilogue to.

It's not what made it good but it's what it was missing to be perfect.
The best parts were all before the plot kicked in while the characters were still building up their relationship and the audience was being introduced to their world.
It's the later part that was weaker and needs some reinforcement for the complete experience to be better.
