A prime example would be Putin's moves against jewish oligarchs that banked off the soviet collapse, while Israel gladly offered them refuge.
Or their banning of holocaust denial but using it as a ploy to double over on Ukrainian neo nazis that were backed by Soros.
Putin has a clever way of doing something which appears liberal on the surface but underneath is actually extremely nationalist. Given, he is obviously corrupt and self serving at times, I do envy his ability to constantly outwit western powers despite extremely trying conditions.
The only thing which sucks about Russia is that Putin is simply too late, communism has extinguished the ethnic Russian and the numbers do not lie, every incentive, all the power plays, cannot save them from the near century of mongrelization that they suffered under communism.
America has approached this point as well, we will only deteriorate unless we cease the struggle and absolve issues within our own nations.
