More importantly is that aside from Issa's and Royce's districts all other californian districts have incumbents who won by around 60% like mr. Nunes. Likewise there are two republicans who retired in New jersey but both won their districts with 60% as well. No republicans are retiring or resigning in new york. Everything shows that red districts where the previous occupant retired are still solid red in special elections no one turns out for, incumbents are even more solid. The only place the Democrats can win in is when the Republican is mired in scandal. That isn't a fucking winning combination, that relies on hoping all republicans are criminals.
Pennsylvania is the "weak link" since so many districts are ceasing to exist, yet we note the new map is basically designed to split the state into roughly 8 democrat districts, 8 republican and 2 swing so if the republicans lost this seat- who gives a fuck- it doesn't exist in november.

I think a part of the problem, especially with these local isolated special elections, is the inability to actually set up any form of ground plan. It's easy when it's a national election because something can be worked out and done in several states at the same time. With elections like this, Virginia, Alabama, and Georgia we have to rely on people that specifically live in that area to get sometbing going. Thay could easily be only a couple people and few of which are willing to actually get out and do something.
