I was a scout for many years. It sucks. My dad taught me much more useful stuff on our own. I got to shoot 1000x more with my dad. Camping with my dad was real camping. Camping with scouts was just 50 people getting together at a "camp site" and brining all sorts of electronic luxuries with them, gas stoves, tons of lamps, playing music from trucks, all the food in coolers packed with ice. It was as rugged as putting up a tent in a suburban back yard. Boy scouts was a waste of time.
