I finished Kasumi's route last night. It was OK, but it seemed more like a bad end.

Does it get better on the other routes? I wanted to skip straight to Marie's but apparently you had to finish Kasumi's and Kei's first for optimal reading experience.

Kei's is when things really first kick into high gear as the Battalion Commanders get involved for the first time, Ren actually reaches Be'riah, and the LDO's plan progesses unhindered by Trifa's machinations.

Kasumi's route is pretty much a bad end.
The routes all build off of each other with each one getting better than the last.
Route order is Kasumi>Kei>Marie>Rea

Kasumi route is a bad end, and it is also just a huge infodump. Think of it as of a prologue to the actual story. Kei is much better and worth a read for sure.

Trifa actually cares for Kei though.

Kasumi route is like long prologue for the VN, real shit kick in kei route, you think you hit climax after marie route but you are far from it

I know I'd by hyped about my favorite VN finally being adapted, even if the anime sucked. It's a nice way to get people interested in the source material, and an even better way to guarantee merch. What was the point of episode 0? It barely explained anything. It wasted most of its screentime on stupid monologues and introducing characters we didn't learn anything about.
