I rewatched Gladiator a few months ago and was impressed by how utterly unimpressed I was after watching the extended edition, despite remembering to having liked it a lot. The "are you not entertained" scene felt really unimpactful.

The outstanding historical inaccuracy was especially glaring.
>Marcus Aurelius wanting Rome to be a republic again

unexpected kek

I believe gladiator is a movie for teenagers, I loved it when I saw it for the first time, back in high school, but found it really boring and never experienced again the hype I got those days.
Anyway, I find that they smartly used some codes of the greek tragedy in the plot. Still a good ride in my memory, and would probably show it to my kids when they'll get older.

Is it bad that the first thing I noticed in this was the box of shotgun shells on the computer?

god it's been years. I miss you old Sup Forums
