Haven't done a whole lot of research but typical /r9k/ guy having fun on chats and whatever with his friends for whom something went downhill suddenly, presumably to do with family, and then called in his crew and put on a little show of his planned out suicide while his e-friends didn't want it to be really happening.

Go back to the original source material. He toys with the trigger and positioning a bit, then shows the safety switch to the camera, then loads it, then messes with something largely on the other side (not familiar with this gun) until it fits right.
Then not only does he have to take a couple of breaths and remember how to position it right, but he winds up having to tug the trigger a second time for it to fire, and it looks like he was surprised the first hard tug didn't work.
Makes you wonder how long ago he bought the gun and how much he'd tried firing it before. The entire previous few minutes make it look awkward on him, not like something he's used to handling beyond maybe a few imaginary times holding it up to his head from different angles in anticipation.
