Isn't it a little early? Spoilers usually come out on sundays, except on special occasions.

Well, either way. A translator mentioned it's still ambiguous whether he's referring to someone else or himself when he mentions a "speciulist". But if he means someone else it's possible he means Eto or one of the older ghouls who were familiar with the OEK, like Uta, Itori or some other. I would like to think he is talking about himself simply because they should have no time to go looking around for someone in the middle of that chaos but it would be cool if Ishida could bring back Itori into existence. We also don't know if he's talking about a dragon specialist or a Kaneki specialist, whatever that means haha. Whoever it is, I hope he uses his brain unlike everyone else in the manga and uses a phone to contact said specialist.

Either way, I think next chapter things will continue to move forward as the CCG gets organized and come us with a plan. Maybe they will try to paralyze Kaneki and hold him down as much as possible while Hide gets the specialist.

I could see it either being Eto or Kanou. He’s already met Eto as Takatsuki before, and she was very suspicious of him. It’d be interesting if she and him had been keeping tabs on each other for whatever reason through the years. This is just me wanting my Hide, Arima, and Eto connection to be true though. The likely answer is Kanou, since he knows more about ghouls than ghouls themselves.

From what happened with the original oeg, he probably knew retarded amounts of cannibalizing would turn someone into a giant kagune monster. He just attacked Kaneki's base and then served him all those Rize kagune fucks on a silver platter.

We don't really know the details of Furuta's plan but it's been implied that he wanted Kaneki to go on a rampage so devastating that V have no other choice but to get off their asses.

As for Touka's escape Kaneki killed everyone down there except for her and several hours passed since his transformation so it makes sense that she's back on the surface with everyone.

Different user but i just finished the basic tokyo ghoul and i kinda want to skip over TG RE entirely because it sounds so dumb to me that i refuse to accept it.

How the fuck would Kaneki survive the Arima fight? It felt like Arima didnt kill him and kept him alive but it just feels entirely wrong. Honestly i loved the basic "ending" with Kaneki dead and the others aswell but the existance of RE ruins it.

It's not clear how he survived without eating humans. Either they gave him rc injections which might stop his hunger or the rc suppressants stopped him from having to eat human meat at the cost of being a weakling ghoul. It's never properly explained, I think

The point of the story is to deconstruct shonen action/tradgey/mystery tropes by continually layering more and more of them on top of each other and then inverting them and adding more and mixing it all up. Getting all mixed up with the details of the plot like you're doing is literally the joke. The plot is absurd. The characters randomly varying power levels as the plot demands, and the character literally talking about each other's power levels is a joke. You're not supposed to read a chapter introducing Kagune clones and come away thinking, 'Hm, I wonder what this means for the ghoul echosystem. What level of RC cells does a ghould with this ability actually have? Is this an SS or maybe~? SSS?'. It's blatantly, intentionally something you laugh at.

Why everyone is calling Kaneki a kaiju when it's clear he is more on the Lovecraft side of things, particularly the outer god Azathoth, the "Blind Idiot God". He had the power of creating life and destroy it without him even realizing, hence he was called a big idiot. He is often deceived with many tentacles (rinkaku),mouths (Eto) and eyes (kakugan). The Nameless King could also be referred to this since saying the name an Old One or an Outer God could attract him or even corrupt that person. If you think about it, kagune could also be rested to Lovecraft, the Old Ones usually corrupted many victims by whispering them on their minds and giving them powers. Basically kagunes (power) were created by RC cells(corruption), the bigger number of RC cells you had, the more mentally unstable (whispers) you become, creating a Kakuja (total corruption). Just to finish this theory, Azathoth also has a hold Tarot based off him (the Idiot God, the Fool's Journey), which many scenes from the manga resemble a lot more than the classic Tarot cards.
